Coronavirus outbreak has brought many changes in daily lives. Recently many producers and filmmakers broke the news that several movies like Gulabo Sitabo, Shakuntala Devi will be released on OTT Platforms directly. The theatres and cinema halls are going to be closed until the lockdown situation ends. Producers and filmmakers are done waiting and finally decided to release their movies to video streaming platforms instead of queuing up for theatrical release when theatres reopen.

Movies like Sooryavanshi and 83 won’t make it onto digital platforms. Producers of these movies said “Sooryavanshi and ’83 are anyway out of reach for OTTs (because digital sales will not help recoup their ₹100 crore plus budgets) and they will push people to theatres whenever they reopen. However, there is an upper-mid range of films, which would anyway have been second to the biggies, that these platforms are picking up now”.

However, after hearing these statements, India’s Largest multiplex chain INOX , released a statement on production house’s announcement to release their movies on an OTT platform by skippin the theatrical trial.

“We were hoping that the producers would accede to our request to hold back their film’s release till cinemas reopened.” INOX Said.

We know it can feel overwhelming to manage a rush of negative comments, so we’ve been testing the ability to delete comments in bulk, as well as block or restrict multiple accounts that post negative comments“.

The Instagram platform also going to give users more control over the privacy and security of their accounts. The new option is to decide who can tag, mention them on stories, comments, and posts.

“We’ve seen that tags and mentions can be used to target or bully others, so we’re rolling out new controls that allow you to manage who can tag or mention you on Instagram. You can choose whether you want everyone, only people you follow or no one to be able to tag or mention you in a comment, caption, or Story.” the company gave the statement.

The company said, “In Instagram latest update all the features are designed to stop the online bullying which could affect normal users with the normal following to a user with a large following.” Online Bullying has become the main focus of the Instagram company and to fight against it company is taking all essential steps and trying to create a safer environment on social media.

“Today, we’re sharing the fifth edition of our Community Standards Enforcement Report which tracks our progress to keep Facebook and Instagram safe. In addition to this report, we’re announcing new features that mark the continuation of our effort to lead the industry in the fight against online bullying.”

Another Instagram latest update to make the environment healthy is providing a Pinned Comment Feature. “Soon, we’ll begin testing Pinned Comments. This feature gives people a way to set the tone for their account and engage with their community by pinning a select number of comments to the top of their comments thread.“

Facebook is coming with Paid Live streaming option for artist and small businesses

The Maharashtra state government allowed the Home delivery from Friday, 15th May. Government Resolution (GR) issued by the govt Excise department, said that the Maharashtra liquor Home delivery is going to take place from 10.00 AM on 15th May 2020, Friday. To avoid the gathering outside the liquor shops during the lockdown period, state govt announced this on Tuesday.

Under the new order from state Govt “The home delivery of liquor will commence from Friday across the state, where the shops are already opened in the non-containment zones. One shop owner cannot appoint more than 10 delivery persons and one delivery person cannot carry more than 24 bottles of permitted liquor in one time.”

The government is trying to give all necessary relaxations to the people hence the new order is released on Wednesday to provide some relief to consumers, allowing the Home Liquor Delivery. It is also made clear by the state government that the online Maharashtra Liquor Home delivery is totally an unwritten contract between the buyer and the seller, hence the state will not take any part if any kind of dispute generates between them.

Home delivery order is applicable in all other district of the state excluding 10 districts which are Mumbai, Nagpur and districts in Marathwada. The government order also said that the seller are not allowed to charge more or less than the MRP for the liquor. As the order got out from the govt, all the sellers in Maharashtra got some time to make preparations as the services will start from tomorrow(Friday).

“Despite the online sale, the liquor shops will have to adhere to the laid-down norms of physical distancing and sanitization of its staff,” said (GR) issued by the govt Excise department.

The growth rate of the corona infection has been highly decreased in-country China hence the firm needs active zones to test the vaccine.

The Bois Locker Room Incidents came into light last week and sparked a huge outrage on social media. The recent investigation of this scandal brought a new twist. The screenshot of a Snapchat interaction was actually between a girl and boy, Police revealed the Bois Locker Room Twist. Although the Snapchat Gang-Rape incident is not linked to the Bois Locker Room Instagram chat scandal it got mixed up with it because it was shared at the same time on social media.

It was the girl who has created a fake account on Snapchat with the name “Siddharth” and suggested the “Sexual Assault Plan” to his classmate to test his character, Investigation revealed. Police confirmed it on Sunday that the Snapchat conversation screenshot which went viral along with the bios locker room chats were completely unrelated.

“The alleged Snapchat conversation is actually between a girl (sender) and a boy (receiver) in which the girl is sending chat messages through a fictional Snapchat account named Siddharth ” Delhi police gave the statement about Bois Locker Room Twist.

DCP (cyber cell) Anyesh Roy cleared the scene and said that the messages were sent by the girl to check the strength of his character, although her intention was not malicious, so there will be no complaint reported.

The boy stopped talking to her and refused to accept the offer, which is given by the girl on the Snapchat chats. The Boy also discussed the entire scenario with his friends and told them about the conversation he had with the fictional Snapchat account holder Siddharth.

The screenshot of their snap chat conversation shared on social media at the same time when the Bois Locker Room Instagram chat screenshots were revealed and people mixed up these two things due to its sensational nature. Initially believed that the Snapchat conversation was a conversation between the boy from #Bois Locker Room. But at last, it turned out a whole different story.

Whatsapp recently launched IFCN Chatbot developed by Poynter Institute’s International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) to keep an eye on fake rumors and misleading information related to the COVID-19. Facebook-owned WhatsApp messaging app took a great step to stop the fake news from being circulated on its platform.

By using the IFCN Chatbot, whatsapp users will be able to judge whether the piece of the content they received, is rated true or false by the professional fact-checkers. During thsi time of pandemic, tones of news and information are being forwarded each day and user dont really know which one is true and which one is false.

To stop the spread of COVID-19 fake and misleading information WhatsApp has collaborated with Poynter Institute’s International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) to allow users to check the authenticity of the news. A new social media chatbot makes it easy to scour the Institute’s database of COVID-19 hoaxes. According to the recent reports, there are more than 4000 hoaxes related to COVID-19 were recorded by more than 80 fact-checking organizations from 74 countries.

Ben supple public policy manager and global election lead at WhatsApp said: “We are very pleased to now be able to support IFCN’s essential fact-checking work with the launch of this important service for WhatsApp users.”

IFCN said “The system is capable of identifying the user’s country via the mobile country code and then sharing the nearest fact-checking organizations. Anyone can submit information for review directly to local fact-checkers or visit their website to learn more about misinformation circulating in the region.”

Zomato may start Home Delivery of Alcohol

Food aggregator Zomato is planning to start home delivery of alcohol because of the high demand of the liquor during the lockdown. After the relaxation has been given, long queues can be seen outside the liquor shop which is a matter of concern. To prevent this condition Delhi Government started imposing a 70% extra on MRP as a special corona fee from Tuesday 5th May 2020, while Mumbai shut down the liquor shops after 2 days of re-opening.

Reuters news says “The food delivery company Zomato is expanding their business by starting Home delivery of the Liquors in coming days.” According to the report Zomato’s CEO Mohit Gupta has written to industry body ISWAI, suggesting the idea in a business proposal.

“We believe that a technology-enabled home delivery based solution can promote responsible consumption of alcohol.” Gupta wrote in his proposal. The proposal was submitted in the mid-April, Reuters report says that “Zomato will target the areas which are relatively less affected by COVID 19.”

There is currently no legal provision for home deliveries of alcohol in India, something that industry body International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI) is lobbying to change in conjunction with Zomato and others.

Amrit Kiran Singh Chairmen of ISWAI said that “To boost the state revenue, alcohol deliveries should be allowed.” According to a recent report from the London-based research group, IWSR Drinks Market Analysis in.2018 “India generates $27.2 billion by the alcohol industry.”

Although the business proposal has already made, but the final decision is yet to come.

As the lockdown period is extended in India till 17th May 2020, several relaxations is given to the people. The government has approved reopening the alcohol shops in green, orange, and red zone areas under the third phase of lockdown. Although the shopkeepers were instructed to maintain the social distancing by their customers in front of their shops. But on 4th May 2020, a huge number of people started queuing up outside the liquor shops. Long Queues in front of liquor shops were seen early in the morning as the shops get reopened at 7.30 AM.

The government allowed the liquor shops to stay open till 7.00 PM but with some strict guidelines and of course with social distancing. Not more than 5 customers can get gather outside the shop. Still, the pictures from Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra telling different stories today.

More than 150 liquor shops are reopened in Delhi, Capital of India. News reports say that Delhi police forcibly shut down one liquor shop in the Jheel Chowk area because people refused to follow the social distancing norms and found in a Long Queues in front of liquor shops, standing very close to each other. Delhi’s Desh Bandhu Gupta Road liquor shop was over 1 kilometer long.

Reliance JIo said “it is just a few days away” and soon we are going to launch our new Video Conferencing app which will be called Jio Meet. Scientist Wang Guiqiang quoted this statement “The virus is heat-sensitive, but that’s when it’s exposed to 56 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes and the weather is never going to get that hot”.

Chinese and other scientist members reported that this Sar-cov-2 Coronavirus would not disappear from the world, unlike its close cousin virus did 17 years ago. This deadly contagious virus has spread so far across the globe, and more than 3 million people got infected by this.

An Indian origin 17 years old girl student in Alabama high school got the honor and named Nasa’s First Mars Helicopter, “Ingenuity”.

Nasa’s first Mars helicopter has finally a New Name. All credit goes to Indian student Vaneeza Rupani. Ingenuity name was submitted by Vaneeza during the Nasa’s “Name the Rover” contest. The name got selected for 4 pounds (1.8 kilograms) solar-powered helicopter. Nasa has confirmed this news on Wednesday on various news channels.

Ingenuity will ride to the Red Planet with to attempt the first powered flight on another world.

Vaneeza Rupani submitted a letter describing the meaning of Ingenuity – “The ingenuity and brilliance of people working hard to overcome the challenges of interplanetary travel are what allow us all to experience the wonders of space exploration. Ingenuity is what allows people to accomplish amazing things, and it allows us to expand our horizons to the edges of the universe.”

Nasa is planning to deploy Ingenuity to the red planet later this summer. The scheduled launch for NASA’s Mars 2020 mission is between July 17 and August 5 this year. Nasa says Vaneeza Rupani’s submission was among 28,000 essays, submitted by K-12 students of every state of the US.

New symptoms of COVID-19 identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The CDC had only addressed three, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath, before this. It has now added six more New Covid-19 Symptoms that may come with the disease.

The Centers for Disease Control and prevention {CDC} tracks diseases globally. The official authorized people here, directly involved in all laboratory work. The new symptoms are published on its official website. New Covid 19 symptoms like “Chills, Repeated Shaking with chills, Muscle Pain, Headache, Sore Throat, New loss of taste and smell” are important as there is a limited number of test kits are available for screening.

On WHO’s (World Health Organisation) official website, initially in most common to serious symptoms, there were only fever, dry cough, and tiredness was mentioned. Now doctors reported new symptoms in the People with Covid-19.

Later on, the CDC confirmed that these six new Covid-19 Symptoms can appear within 2 to 14 days of the real-time development period of the virus in the patient’s body. People with any of these symptoms should seek medical attention immediately, the CDC says.

Legendary international footballer and a former Indian Cricketer Chuni Goswami (Born 15th Jan 1938) passed away on 30th April 2020, Thursday at the age of 82. He was the captain of the Asian cup winning team in 1962. Chuni Goswami was known for his all-rounder role in both cricket and football world. In his journey in football from 1956 to 1964, he played more than 50 matches for India. later on, he moved his career to the Indian Cricket.
