Tamilnadu Teenager Girl Burnt to Death – Justice for Jeyashree: A 14-Year-Old girl from Villupuram district was burnt alive by two members of ruling AIADMK in Tamilnadu. The Girl named Jayashree Jayapal was set on fire by the two men G Murugan (52), husband of a former councilor, and K. Kaliyaperumal (60), AIADMK Villupuram branch secretary. Jayashree died in Villupuram Government Medical College with more than 95% burned injuries on Monday Morning.
According to the news reports, there was a land dispute between the victim’s father and Murugan, who is AIADMK Worker. On Sunday, Murugan’s friend came to Jayabal shop(Victime Father), and a fight took place between Jayabal’s son and Murugan’s friend. After that, Murugan and Kaliyaperumal set Jayabal’s daughter on fire. The whole incident happened in the shop.
A video statement by the girl, in which she is accusing the culprits and describing how the incident happened, went viral on social media. Social media is full of grief and demanding justice with #Justice for jeyashree for our young 14 Year daughter Jayashree.

Villupuram Superintendent of Police S. Jayakumar said “The duo has been arrested based on the statement of the victim. We are probing various angles in the case”.
“An action taken report along with the authenticated copies of the relevant documents may kindly be shared with the commission within seven days of receipt of this letter” said Tamilnadu Police.
The culprits were arrested Under JJ Act, 2015, and IPC Section 302, 452, and 341. Tamilnadu Police assured to take strict charges against those men and will serve justice to Jeyashree.
