JioMeet – Reliance new Video conferencing App | Coming Soon

On Thursday, Jio parent Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) revealed the plan for launching the JioMeet video conferencing App platform. Reliance JIo said “it is just a few days away” and soon we are going to launch our new Video Conferencing app which will be called Jio Meet. JioMeet would be released as a platform-agnostic solution, available across Android and iOS devices as well as on Windows and macOS computers.

Reliance Jio’s new platform JioMeet is going to take over other apps’ popularity like Google Zoom app, Google Meet, Microsoft. “Around 100 people will be allowed to join on a single video call” as per the FAQ page of the JioMeet platform. The Company claimed to give HD Quality video experience to its users.

The Users will be able to join video call as a guest by login ID/Username or password. The features are also available on Outlook through a Plugin or via Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. The listing of Reliance Jiomeet app on google play store or Apple play store will be done after the official announcement.

Pankaj Panwar, Senior VP of Reliance Jio Infocomm said to reporters “Jio Meet is a platform which has much uniqueness- it actually has an ability to work on any device, any operating system, and it has an ability to do a complete collaboration”.

Jiomeet app will be integrated with other platforms such as Jio’s eHealth and eEducation to create virtual classes or for virtually consulting to doctors. The lockdown condition in the world demands more collaborative tools for support work from home. Zoom app reports that the overall zoom meeting calls increased over 300 Million whereas Microsoft reported 200 million online meeting participants on a single day, this month.
