Instagram keeps releasing new features and options to provide a better experience for its users. In Instagram Live Story Update users can now save live videos to IGTV. On Thursday, 14th May, Instagram has officially announced that users will have the option to save their Live Broadcast Video to IGTV and make it available for viewing for as long as they choose.
Instagram Live option was introduced in 2016 and until now live stories have only been saved for the next 24 hours in stories. The live stories will get disappear automatically after 24 hours. But the recent announcement under Instagram Live Story Update will allow users to save Live Broadcast to IGTV, Instagram‘s app for videos that are longer than ones you see on the main feed.
The new feature makes your Live video available so that your follower can catch them more than a day later. Instagram comes up with this new feature for an expansion of live streaming features across its various platforms. It can be a way for Instagram users to maximize the value of their content.
Users can still download their live videos to their camera roll and then upload it to IGTV after making necessary changes. But to keep it simple and quick you can tap on IGTV Option and can directly upload it from there to maximize the viewership.
