The trailer of highly anticipated and much-awaited Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey starer Chhapaak released today. The trailer gives an insight into the horrific face of society and the reality of acid attacks in the country.
The film is directed by Meghna Gulzar and is all set to go on the floor on 10th January 2020. The film is inspired by the real-life story of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor and Stop Sale Acid campaigner.
The trailer shows the story of a girl Malti who is attacked with acid and survives major burn on her face. The accident leaves major scars on her face. But instead of losing hope, she fights for many like her. She filed PIL against the sale of acid at stores across the country.
Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey in lead roles as Malti and Amol who is a journalist have done commendable jobs. The trailer itself left us emotional and we honestly can not wait to watch the two acting powerhouses take us through the emotional rollercoaster Chhapaak is.
