Reliance Jio is all set to release its 4G services in India today. This implies that these services will become open to almost all smartphone brands, especially those which arent under its umbrella.
Even though Reliance has started its 4G service to brands like Samsung, Asus, LG, etc., there are few brands like iPhone, Motorola, Lenovo, etc. are still left out. From now onwards, any user with a smartphone which supports 4G is eligible to get Jio SIM card.
These SIM cards come with Preview offer which allows it users to access 4G data which will be unlimited and free of cost, for the initial three months. From 1st January 2017, users have to pay to avail Jio services. As stated by Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Mukesh Ambani, it is a welcome offer that will start from today, September 5.
This service comes with various benefits like free voice calling, along with no roaming charges. It will also allow the customers to access various Jio Premium apps like JioMusic, MyJio, etc. for free.
According to Mr. Ambani, Jios data plans are the cheapest in comparison to any such service around the world as it will cost just Rs 50 for 1 GB of data. Reliance Jio plans (prepaid) will start for mere Rs 19 and ranges up to Rs 4999. The postpaid plans will start at Rs 149.

Almost all of the Ji0 4G plans will provide free SMSes along with free WiFi data. Reliance Jios extensive suite of Jio Apps provides on-demand video, music, etc.
New features:
RIL has also stated that there will be free voice calls, both for local and STD calls and there wont be any roaming charges across India.
The Jio 4G data plans come with free SMSes too.
Users can send over 100 free SMSes per month in the case of certain plans while other plans will provide 100 free SMSes per day.
Tariff plans:
Talking about the tariff plans, it starts at just Rs 19 for prepaid, while it will cost Rs 149 for its postpaid users. The latter plan will include 300 MB of data which will be valid for 1 month along with 100 free SMSes. There are several plans which come with a validity of 28 days and provides 100 free SMSes per day.
The 4GB data plan will cost at Rs 499 which will provide the users to access to 8GB of free WiFi Data. There are other plans like 10GB plan costing at Rs 999 which comes with 20 GB of similar WiFi data.
