Google Bard may not match ChatGPT in various aspects, but it’s steadily progressing towards that level. For instance, Google’s recent announcement reveals Bard’s enhanced capability to delve deeper into analyzing YouTube video content, which could prove highly beneficial.
Previously, in a September update, Bard could already analyze YouTube videos. However, this didn’t involve the actual scrutiny of video content and the capacity to interpret it for detailed inquiries.
In the updated Bard changelog, Google briefly outlined Bard’s newfound proficiency with YouTube content and provided an illustrative example:
“We’re taking the first steps in Bard’s ability to understand YouTube videos. For example, if you’re looking for videos on how to make olive oil cake, you can now also ask how many eggs the recipe in the first video requires.”
This capability to ask precise questions about video content holds immense value. Another instance could involve querying the specific tool used in a DIY repair video or the exact location showcased in a travel vlog.
Google introduced this feature in response to the desire for “deeper engagement with YouTube videos” and a desire for a “more extensive dialogue with Bard about it.”
