Assassin’s Creed

Assassin’s Creed has been an action-adventure and stealth video game that has a franchise presented by Patrice Dsilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May.

They had mainly developed it for Ubisoft Montreal. They used the Anvil game engine as it is much more advanced derivatives. The game depicts a centuries-old struggle, now and then, between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire friendship by control.

The game series features historical fiction, science fiction, and characters, intertwined with real-world past events and figures. For the majority of the time, players control an Assassin in the past, while they play as Desmond Miles or an Assassin Initiate in the present-day context, who hunt down Templar targets.

The game series takes inspiration from Alamut, the novel by the Slovenian writer, Vladimir Bartol. The building of concepts has from the Prince of Persia series. The eponymous first title of the series was released in 2007, and it has featured eleven main games in total, the most recent being 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, while a new game Assassin Creed Valhalla has been announced.

A new story and period are introduced in each entry, and gameplay elements evolve from the previous one. There are three-story arcs in this series. For the main first five games, the framing story is set in 2012 and features series protagonist Desmond Miles. He had used a machine called the Animus and relived the memories of his ancestors and found a way to avert the 2012 apocalypse.

In the games up until and including Assassin Creed Syndicate, Abstergo employees and Assassin initiated recorded genetic memories using the Helix software, helped the Assassins and Templars find new Pieces of Eden in the new modern world. The latest two games, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins have ex-Abstergo employee Layla Hassan as she is recruited into the Assassin Order.

The main games of Assassins Creed are set in an open world and presented from the third-person perspective where the protagonists take down targets using their combat and stealth skills with the exploitation of the environment. Players have the space to explore the historical settings. They have to end the side and main quests. Including single-player missions, some games also provide competitive and cooperative multiplayer gameplay.

While main games are produced for significant desktop platforms and consoles, multiple spin-off games are released for mobiles, consoles, and handhelds platforms.
