Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy describes how the Your Finances: Money Manager iOS app ("Your Finances," "the app," "we," "us") handles information. It applies to everyone who downloads and uses the app from the App Store. The app is developed by Jaspal Singh.
Information we collect
None. Your Finances is built to run entirely on your device. We operate no servers that receive your data, we do not require an account, and we never ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.
Specifically, Your Finances does not collect:
- Personal or contact information
- Bank, UPI, card, PIN, or CVV credentials — the app has no facility to connect to a bank or Account Aggregator
- Your transactions, balances, budgets, goals, notes, or receipts
- Usage analytics, device identifiers, or advertising IDs
- Diagnostic, crash, or behavioral tracking data
How the app uses your device
Your Finances requests permission for certain features only when you use them. The resulting content is processed on-device and is never uploaded to us:
- Camera (optional) — only if you choose to scan a receipt. Images are processed locally and stored on your device.
- Face ID / Touch ID (optional) — to unlock the app if you enable App Lock. Authentication is handled by iOS; we never receive your biometric data.
- Notifications (optional) — to remind you about bills and goals. Reminders are generated and delivered locally on your device.
You can review or change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security, or under Settings → Your Finances.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. If you turn on iCloud sync, your data syncs across your own devices through your private iCloud (CloudKit) container, managed by Apple under your Apple ID. It is stored in your personal account, not on our servers, and we have no access to it. Apple does not classify data in your private container as data collected by the developer. Sync is off unless you enable it, and you can disable it at any time in Settings.
In-app purchases
Your Finances offers an optional Premium upgrade (monthly and yearly subscriptions, and a one-time lifetime purchase). Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. Your Finances only receives a confirmation from Apple that a valid purchase exists, which is used on-device to unlock Premium features.
Third-party services
Your Finances does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple, solely for app distribution, optional iCloud sync, and processing in-app purchases as described above.
Notifications
Bill and goal reminders are local to your device. By default their wording is discreet and never includes amounts, account numbers, notes, or receipt text. More descriptive wording is opt-in.
Children's privacy
Your Finances does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no data at all, this is inherent to the app's design.
Data security
Because Your Finances keeps everything on your device and transmits nothing to us, your content is protected by your iPhone's own security — your passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS data protection. The app adds free App Lock, and a privacy overlay that hides your amounts in the app switcher. We hold no copy of your data to secure or to lose.

Articles and calculators in the app are for general education only and are not personalised financial, investment, or tax advice.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
