Which phones support Duo (front + back) mode?
Simultaneous front and back recording needs a phone that can run both cameras at once. On iPhone that's XS, XR and later; on Android it varies by model. Where it isn't supported ReelDuo hides the Duo option, and everything else — including recording single-lens video in both 9:16 and 16:9 — works as normal.
How do the captions work?
Read your script from the teleprompter and ReelDuo writes a SubRip (.srt) file beside the video. The timing comes from the scroll itself rather than speech recognition, so the words are always exactly your script.
If you read ahead of the scroll the timing drifts a little — the words never do. Captions are free, on iPhone, from version 1.6.
Is Pro really a one-time purchase?
Yes. ReelDuo Pro is a single $2.99 unlock — no subscription, no recurring charges. Buy it once and it stays unlocked, and restores free on your other devices.
Does it need an account or internet?
No sign-up and no login. Recording and saving work fully offline, and your videos never leave your phone unless you choose to share them.
The iPhone app includes Meta's measurement SDK so we can see which ads bring people to ReelDuo. It never has access to your recordings, and iOS asks your permission before any tracking — you can say no. The details are in the privacy policy.
Where do my recordings go?
Straight to your camera roll or gallery, or to a folder of their own — on iPhone under Files → "On My iPhone → ReelDuo". From the recent thumbnail you can jump to Photos or open the share sheet to TikTok, Instagram and more.
What's the watermark, and how do I remove it?
Free exports carry a small ReelDuo mark. Unlocking Pro removes it, so your videos and photos export completely clean.
How big is the app?
Under 7 MB on iPhone. ReelDuo only runs while you're using the camera — nothing sits in the background.
