Privacy Policy

The short version: ReelDuo does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Your recordings and photos never leave your iPhone unless you choose to share them. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics.

Who this applies to

This Privacy Policy describes how the ReelDuo iOS app ("ReelDuo," "the app," "we," "us") handles information. It applies to everyone who downloads and uses ReelDuo from the App Store.

Information we collect

None. ReelDuo is built to run entirely on your device. We do not operate servers that receive your data, we do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location.

Specifically, ReelDuo does not collect:

Personal or contact information
Usage analytics, device identifiers, or advertising IDs
Your photos, videos, or audio recordings
Diagnostic, crash, or behavioral tracking data

How the app uses your device

To do its job, ReelDuo requests permission to use certain parts of your iPhone. These permissions are used only on-device, only while you use the app, and the resulting content is never uploaded to us:

Camera — to record video from your front and back cameras. Frames are processed locally to build your recording and the live preview.
Microphone — to capture audio together with your video.
Photo Library (Add Only) — to save your finished recordings to your own Photos library when you ask the app to.

You can review or change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security, or under Settings → ReelDuo.

Where your recordings go

Recordings are created and stored locally on your device. When you save a take, both the vertical (9:16) and horizontal (16:9) files are written to your own Photos library. From there, you decide whether to share them. ReelDuo has no ability to access, copy, or transmit those files off your device.

In-app purchases

ReelDuo offers an optional one-time purchase, "ReelDuo Pro," to unlock additional features. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. ReelDuo only receives a confirmation from Apple that a valid purchase exists, which is used on-device to unlock Pro features.

Third-party services

ReelDuo does not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The only third party involved is Apple, solely for app distribution and processing in-app purchases as described above.

Children's privacy

ReelDuo does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, no data collection, and no external links to user-generated content.

Data security

Because ReelDuo keeps everything on your device and transmits nothing to us, your content is protected by your iPhone's own security — your passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS data protection. We hold no copy of your data to secure or to lose.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
