Convert PSD to WordPress with the help of a software for free, I think few freelancers coders will not like this. But the designers will love it. Although the software is in beta phase and there are few limitations and certain bugs, but the main thing is that it works and many people are using and loving it.
Divine a photoshop plugin creates websites from photoshop to wordpress promptly. Absolutely Free.
Here’s Demo of a Theme Made from Divine
Some Goodies:
- The best part is its totally free.
- In few clicks you can convert your graphics to a WordPress Theme.
- Yes, its Table-Less.
- Creative Freedom for designers.
- It gives FTP support for uploading theme.
Limitations
- All Images will be saved in GIF.
- Layout size must not exceed 1000×2000 px or be smaller than 750×1000 px. This means the document width must not be less than 750 px and more than 1000 px, the height must be within 1000 px and 2000 px.
- There’s an inscription “Built with Divine” on the dark background in page footer. You may remove it manually from the page code.
- You can create up to 5 additional useritems. See more details in the “Interface. Elements” section.
- It doesn’t have a Mac Version

Requirements
Windows XP, Vista, 7 RC – Photoshop CS2, CS3, CS4 (32-bit)
Installation
- Download
- Install it like any other Windows software
- That’s it..
I feel its not for designers & developers, its for bloggers those have pretty basic knowledge of things. Divine is working on a Premium Version which will cost around $100-$200 in the upcoming months. That version will have some great enhancements like Layout Editor so that it can make a designer happier.
Also a Mac Version of Divine will make it more like-able, as designers love Mac and I use it too.
Some Future Developments
If you have tried it before and made a real theme out of it. We would love to see that. Provide us with your feedback & links below.
Nice tool jaspal

i will try converting few psd’s into wordpress
Thanks for this useful info
When I first heard about this, I was worried – a large part of my freelance work is PSD to WordPress conversion.
But after using it, it’s obvious that a program cannot really do anything but the basic conversion. A customer will say, “i’d like the menus to animate” or “sometimes there’ll be a graphic in that post, sometimes not”. I tend to find that the end result from Devine is basic, and there’s a lot of work still needed to bring the template up to the needs of the client.
Having said that, it’s great for the non-techy designer to create basic templates, i guess…
@Wibbler, I have to agree with you. You get nothing but a very basic theme with just the basic functionality.
Ok for a novice, but if you really want your site “pop” then you need to take it to an expert and let them handle it for you.

Freelancer are really not gonna like this.

There was no mention made about whether or not the themes produced are W3C compliant or not. This is a very interesting product, but as the others have said – I can’t imagine it producing more than basic themes.

This sounds good, but I don’t think it can convert complex layouts. But how much is a typical charge for a PSD-WordPress conversion for freelancers? I think software have many limitations.
I agree with James, software tends to be pretty limited for PSD->HTML/CSS, and WordPress is no exception. Hopefully in the future someone will make a truly effective way to convert it.

Oh, i don’t know anything about this tool before. I will try it to create wordpress site from PSD. Thanks for the software.
Thank you for your comments and interest in Divine project.
We are still trying our best on improving functionality of the plugin and have added plenty of new features, which haven’t been used in Free Edition, to Divine Personal one. The release of this edition will happen in the second quarter of 2010. You’ll have a chance to get your hands on it. More details at our official site: http://www.divine-project.com/.
By the way, be up on the plugin development at http://divine.ideastrunk.com/.
Is it W3C valid code? In anyway I think that this software is no good for fast loading themes, or complicated themes, it can handle simple designs but nothing more then that. IMO.
Amazing idea! It will try it, and it a good option for freelancer.
Congratulations Divine Team, Hope you can develop it more and more power and intelligence. Thanks

Thanks for this useful software
Divine! i liked your layout editor. it’s easy to use, nice interface.
Hi,
Although this project said to use as psd to wordpress theme yet it will not be able to handle complex conversation.
But come to think about it, if you only have a limited amount of time, you can just use this piece of plugin to convert the psd to wordpress theme then just modify and start modifying it to fit your requirements.
This plugin is good for starter – for those whom not quite talented in converting PSD to a working template, in this end wordpress theme like me
@divine: More power on your development.
Thanks
– Andy
Good job but please more features. 960, Blueprint, or any Grid-based css framework would be a great additional feature for Divine.
New promised features are good addition to the plugin. I already want the first paid version. Good job.
actually I know exists a trial version for 30 days and not a limited version but lasts forever.
