Honestly, these are link baiting tactics but they certainly aren’t for everybody in my opinion. It takes time to master such skills. I mean, how often are you able to create a really controversial content and have it digged a hundred times or even stumbled upon? Just my 2 cent on the subject..

Excellent tips on getting backlinks. After nearly 5 months of starting my blog, I have got only one backlink from google and that is from your blog. Launching videos from youtube on my blog is something I have not done so far.
Another thing I find strange is my blog has more than 450 backlinks from yahoo and only one from google. Why is it so? Is it so difficult to get backlinks from google? Any Idea?

I had not considered doing list posts but your suggestions have given me the courage to start to tackle the unknown. Although, I am still not quite sure what the most effective approach would be.
I would super agree with this post except for the fact that you really don’t need backlinks for anything. All you need is a strong community.
The only reason to build backlinks is to rank high for a certain niche site, but if you aren’t passionate about that niche site then odds are you’ll quit doing it after a week or so because you aren’t seeing those “instant results.”
Now if you are passionate about something then it shouldn’t matter about ranking super fast, because you’d do it for free and not for money anyways. Build your community’s trust in your particular niche, word of mouth will spread as long as you branch out to all social platforms and then they’ll buy from you even when you don’t want any money! the money will literally become a perk!
