Recoveries from the infection rose to 5,723 while new cases declined to 3,156 in a day across Karnataka.
"With 5,723 discharged on Wednesday, recoveries shot up to 7,94,503 till date, while 3,156 fresh cases increased the Covid tally to 8,38,929, including 33,095 active cases and 19 succumbed to the infection, with the toll going up to 11,312," said the state health bulletin here on Thursday.
As the epicentre of the pandemic, Bengaluru reported 1,627 fresh cases, taking its tally to 3,45,134, including 16,716 active cases, while 3,24,491 recovered so far, with 3,708 discharged in the last 24 hours.
Deaths in the city reduced to single digit (9), taking its toll to 3,906.
Of the 916 patients in the intensive care units (ICUs) across the state, 464 are in Bengaluru hospitals, 38 in Ballari and Tumakuru, 36 in Hassan, 28 in Mysuru and 26 in Mandya.
Out of 1,11,337 tests conducted on Wednesday, 26,435 were through rapid antigen detection and 89,902 through RT-PCR method.
"Positivity rate was 2.71 per cent and case fatality rate declined to 0.98 per cent for the day," added the bulletin.
