An enchanted diary · for iPad

Write to the page,
and the page writes back.

Put your Apple Pencil to the paper. The diary drinks your ink — and Elias Thorne, the keeper bound within its pages, answers in his own hand. He remembers what you tell him. He has been waiting a very long time for someone to write.

What lives inside

Not a journal. A correspondence.

Ink that is answered

Write anything — a worry, a day, a question — and watch the paper absorb it, word by word. Then a quill you cannot see dips itself, and Elias replies in flowing copperplate, drawn stroke by stroke as though he were sitting across from you. He remembers what you tell him, and he carries it from page to page.

Spells in your own hand

Certain words, written deliberately, do things. Thirteen incantations — rain on the page, fire, hidden ink, and stranger workings Elias teaches you as trust grows.

Drawings that come alive

Sketch something and cast the right spell — your drawing stirs, breathes, and Elias tells you what he sees in it.

His memories, chapter by chapter

Behind the brass hook lie Elias's own memories — interactive chapters of how a scholar came to be bound into a book. Your choices shape how he tells it.

A diary that behaves like one

Pages turn with a curl and a whisper of paper. A red ribbon marks the spellbook. A brass clasp keeps your archive — export it, or burn it to ash.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What is Inkbound, exactly?

A diary for iPad with someone living inside it. You write with your Apple Pencil, the page drinks your ink, and Elias Thorne — a Victorian scholar bound into the book — writes back in his own hand. It is part journal, part story, part correspondence.

Do I need an Apple Pencil?

Yes — Inkbound is built around handwriting. Any Apple Pencil (or a capacitive stylus on supported iPads) works. Your handwriting is read on-device using Apple's own recognition.

Is there an account or sign-up?

No account, no sign-up, no email. Your pages are stored on your iPad. What you write is sent securely to our server only so Elias can reply — and you can make the diary forget everything about you, permanently, from inside the app.

What do the pacts add?

The free diary includes daily conversation, spells, and the first chapter of Elias's memories. The Pact and The Deeper Pact extend the ink — more replies each day, living drawings, and every chapter. The Deeper Pact yearly begins with a 7-day free trial. All pacts are App Store subscriptions you can cancel any time.

Is my writing private?

Your pages live on your iPad; we keep no archive of them. Entries are sent to our server only to generate Elias's reply, and the few facts he remembers about you can be erased permanently with one action — "make the diary forget me." Read the full privacy policy.
