Publishers including Hachette and Elsevier sue Google over AI training on copyrighted works

Hachette, Cengage, Elsevier, and other major publishers have filed a lawsuit against Google, alleging that the company trained its AI models on copyrighted works without permission. Author Scott Turow has joined the suit.
