EU fines AliExpress a record $625 million under DSA over illegal product sales

The European Commission has fined AliExpress more than $625 million, the largest penalty yet under the Digital Services Act, for failing to assess and mitigate risks related to the sale of illegal, unsafe, or counterfeit products on its platform.
