Tiny Log: Baby Tracker · Effective 18 August 2026
Tiny Log is a baby log that keeps your entries on your phone. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server of ours. This page explains exactly what the app stores, and how the advertising that keeps it free works.
Everything about your baby stays on your device
- Every feed, sleep and diaper entry you record — its time, its duration, any volume in ml or oz, and any note — is stored locally on your device only, in the app's own storage and its App Group container, which is what lets the home screen and Lock Screen widgets show the time since the last feed. This data is never uploaded, transmitted, synced, or backed up to any server of ours. We have no server, and no way to read it.
- The developer never receives your feed, sleep or diaper data in any form.
- Tiny Log asks for no name, no email address, no date of birth, no phone number, no precise location, no photos, no contacts, and no health data — not for you and not for your baby.
- There is nothing to delete from a server, because nothing was ever sent to one. Deleting the app removes every entry it stored.
Advertising — how the free app stays free
Tiny Log is completely free, with every feature included. In exchange, the app shows one small banner ad, served by Google AdMob.
- Like any mobile advertising service, AdMob may collect device information (such as device model, IP address, and advertising identifier — “Device ID” and “Advertising Data” in App Store privacy terms) to serve and measure ads, including for tracking where you allow it. Google describes this in its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- The ad SDK may also collect coarse location, product interaction, crash and performance data. That information is not linked to your identity, and it is collected by the ad SDK rather than by us.
- You decide about tracking. Tiny Log uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency: personalised ads are shown only if you tap “Allow” on the standard iOS prompt. If you decline, you still get the full app with non-personalised ads instead — nothing is locked or reduced.
- You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Where required by law, a consent message (Google UMP) is shown before ads load.
- The app never passes your baby's feeds, sleeps, diapers, times, volumes or notes to the ad system. The ad system knows nothing about your baby.
Data collected, in App Store terms
| Used to track you | Device ID, Advertising Data |
|---|---|
| Collected but not linked to you | Coarse Location, Product Interaction, Crash Data, Performance Data |
| Linked to you | None |
All of the above is collected by the Google AdMob advertising SDK. Your baby's log appears nowhere on this list because it never leaves your device.
Analytics
None. Tiny Log contains no analytics or crash-tracking SDKs beyond what Google AdMob itself uses to serve and measure ads.
Purchases
There are none. Tiny Log has no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, and no paid tier — and it never will have.
Notifications
Notifications are local only. If you switch the optional reminder on, Tiny Log schedules a single iOS local notification on your device, a set number of hours after a feed you logged. No push server is involved, and only one reminder is ever pending at a time. The feature is off unless you turn it on.
Children
Tiny Log is a note-keeping tool for parents and carers, and is used by an adult. It is not directed at children and offers no accounts, no social features, and no chat. The app does not ask for your child's name, birth date, or any other identifying detail.
What Tiny Log never does
- Never asks you to create an account or share contact details.
- Never uploads, transmits, or sells your entries — they exist only on your phone.
- Never collects health or fitness data, and has no HealthKit integration.
- Never charges you: no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no paywalls.
- Never shows full-screen, video, or pop-up ads — one small banner, nothing more.
Your controls
- Deleting the app deletes everything Tiny Log stored, including every entry.
- Any entry can be edited or deleted inside the History tab at any time.
- The iOS tracking permission can be granted or revoked at any time in Settings.
- The reminder can be switched off in the app's Settings tab, or notifications silenced entirely in iOS Settings.
