HTML5 is being developed as the next major revision of HTML (HyperText Markup Language), the core markup language of the World Wide Web. HTML5 is the proposed next standard for HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0 and DOM Level 2 HTML. It aims to reduce the need for proprietary plug-in-based rich internet application (RIA) technologies such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Sun JavaFX.
The canvas element is part of HTML5 and allows for dynamic, scriptable rendering of 2D shapes and bitmap images. It is a low level, procedural model that updates a bit map and does not have an in built scene graph.

I’ve been hearing more and more about HTML5 ever since Apple released their iPad and the whole war of words with Abobe and their flash player begun.
It seems like a good technology and should be good for the web as a whole. I’m no Apple fan and I don’t think Apple has good motive behind it’s adoption of HTML5 but I will forever support the open standards of the web.
I used to come across this games but I dont know it is from HTML 5 application. HTML 5 allows lots of dynamic scriptable rendering of bitmap images.
