Nothing specific, but users would say, just good support and ease of use. It helps to have something transcription friendly to move around in. We have been pleased with the Transcript Advantage easy to use. Straightforward to train on, and the doctors love it. Using TA+ has allowed users to automate and streamline the transcription business, leading to increased productivity and efficiency. The TA+ software has been a tremendous asset to the transcription business. Still, the customer service and tech support, those behind the scenes supporting the software, are fantastic and a big reason why they have continued to work with Arrendale Associates year after year.
Pros: Users like the ability to have everything at their fingertips. The doctors like the phone trait to transcribe on the way. When users need back up, they are constantly there and prompt to respond. Great company. Easy to discover, listen to, and allocate jobs. Several ways to search. Easy to track productivity. Very easy to use and manoeuvre around in. Users can move from the previous system to this without any problems. Very user friendly and able to understand. Support services are excellent as well. The software Transcript Advantage (TA+) is user-friendly, and the interface enables users to manage all aspects of transcription workflow and processes, including collecting users, document types, jobs, reports and billing. A turn-key resolution for managing a transcription company.
Cons: The only thing users would change would be that some of the dictations will get stuck on phones and download 1-2 days later. After the last upgrade, users lost the Document Content function. They miss it and are very disappointed not to have it longer. Honestly, the only thing they would change so far is that voice files are only held a short time, and they think that should be longer. Plus, Admin requires to download voice files off of TA+ to welcome to on the home computer. The software is only compatible with the Internet Explorer web browser, which is not a big deal since the office staff was familiar with the web browser.
Pros: Flexibility to use dot expressions/templates in any EMR and any division/field of the EMR. It is straightforward to start using the software, but there is also the option to build more complex templates/actions – they will never lose the work and make templates/phrases if they move to a complex EMR or job. Users can use it on any computer. It is more accurate and quicker than using template commands with Dragon – the best customer service of any application they have ever used. Users have emailed a few times with questions and, within the same day, got a solution from the creator of the software -some people are put off by the upfront cost (it was about 100 dollars for the professional version). Still, they prefer this overpaying a monthly fee that will add up to a lot more over time. It’s straightforward to use, and the resources were very well planned to make our life as easy as possible and saw that the developer understands the subject and knows what he’s doing. The software was meticulously designed to do tasks on the computer with incredible speed. They use it for everything and have 614 templates (between phrases and automation) created. If they turn on the computer and the phrase expander is not running for some reason from the laptop, stop everything to resolve it immediately. The backup system is fabulous and never lost any data. Support is awesome
Cons: There is more powerful/complex functions, but they struggle more, trying to understand these out. To use some of these aspects/feels like computer programming, which is not the work set. It can feel overwhelming. To use it at the level that you would find in an EMR or Dragon doesn’t require this level of complexity, but they would like to use more of the bells and whistles. There are pretty good videos and a perfect user manual, but they wish some more complex features were spelt out a little better.
They would love to have a forum/location to share templates and tips/tricks with other users. To improve the phrasing priorities (templates) within the corresponding group, to go up or down. For very advanced users with several phrases with the same meaning, let’s assume URLs or names, but they would be grateful if you could appear in the search within a group with priorities.
The customer service with FTW has been remarkable. The few experienced users occurrences who requested customer service were immediately answered, and the problem was solved. They have never regretted the switch and will never go back. Superior audio quality can program the jump back to the amount of time they want when they begin the audio after stopping it.
Pros: This software is excellent for both Express Scribe and FTR in sound feature and characteristics. The ability to program the foot pedal to match the CAT software allows them to move from one program to the other seamlessly. Some also like the file converter provided, giving them the ability to use it with many different formats comparable to VLC. It has all the features they need and is easy-to-use. They are made aware of software updates on a timely basis, and the customer service is top-notch.
Cons: The only thing they would like to see is a version for IOS. When changing the theme colour to purple, the only con is that while change the theme colour to purple, the keys and buttons still stay orange, with nothing to do with any functionality.
