Shruti Haasan is an Indian singer and actress who predominantly works in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi language movies. Shruti Haasan debuted in Bollywood with the film ‘Luck’ in the year 2009. However, she received recognition with Telugu romantic comedy ‘Oh My Friend’ in the year 2011. Early life and family – Shruti Hasan was born on 28 January 1986 in Madras (the present-day Chennai). She is the daughter of legendary actor Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika Thakur. Her father is Tamilian, whereas her mother’s father is Maharashtrian and mother Rajput. She has a younger sister Akshara Haasan who also works as an actor.
Shruti Haasan is one of the kids who had the privilege of seeing her parents marriage. Her parents, kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur were in a live-in relationship and got married after the birth of Shruti’s younger sister Akshara.
When Shruti was 15 years old, her parents got separated, and she has to move with her mother and younger sister to an apartment in Chennai. In one of her interview, Shruti Haasan states that this incident made her financially independent, and although she grew up in a mansion, she was attached to the home and not to the house
Education And Qualification: Shruti Haasan did her schooling at Abacus Montessori School and Lady Andal School, Chennai. She did her college at Saint Andrew College and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Acting career: Shruti Haasan first appeared on the big screen in Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ‘Hey Ram’ directed by Kamal Haasan in 2008. However, she debuted in Bollywood as a lead actor in the year 2009 from the movie ‘Luck’ opposite her childhood friend Imran Khan. However, the film didn’t go well at the box office, and Shruti received lots of criticism for her poor acting skills. Shruti received recognition as a star from the Telugu movie ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’ opposite Siddharth. The movie received a grand opening, and Shruti was appreciated for her acting skills by the critics. The same year she also debuted in Tamil film ‘7aum Arivu’ as lead actress opposite Suriya. Later, Shruti also appeared in many Bollywood movies such as ‘Dil To Baccha Hai’ in hrutiyear 2011, ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ in 2013, ‘Gabbar Is Back’ in 2015 Sand ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ in 2017. Singing career: Shruti Haasan has been singing since the age of 6. At the age of 6 she gave her voice for the song ‘Potri Paadadi Ponne’ from the movie ‘Thevar Magan’ in 1992. In 1997, she voiced the song ‘Chupdi Chupdi Chachi from the movie ‘Chachi 420’. In 1992, she sang the Tamil and Hindi version of the song ‘Rama Rama’ from the movie ‘Hey Ram’. Affairs and Relationships: In 2010, Shruti dated Siddharth Suryanarayana. It was reported that both are in a live-in relationship. In 2013 Shruti Hasan was attacked by a stalker in her apartment in Mumbai. Shruti Haasan somehow fought back and managed to shut the door and jam the attacker’s hand in the door injuring him.

In 2017 it was rumoured that Shruti Haasan opted out of the movie ‘Shankarmitra’ after the announcement of the release of the film.
