Early life And Education
Pooja hedge was born on 13th October 1990 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. Later on, her family moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra. She did her schooling from Mumbai. She did her graduation in Master of Commerce from ‘Shrimati Mithibai Motiram Kundanani College of Commerce and Economics’. According to Pooja Hedge, she was a lost child during her childhood and whenever people asked her what she wants to become she used to say that she don’t know because she never knew what she wanted to become. She never aspired to become an actress. According to her, she was a tomboy and a skinny teenager who wore braces and had short hair. In one of her interviews, she reveals that by helping her mother in networking marketing business, she got a chance to improve her networking skills and eventually got confidence. During her college days, she participated in several Inter College competitions, fashion and dance show.
Her father, Manjunath Hedge is a lawyer. Her mother, Latha Hedge is an immunologist and genetic professional. Also has an elder brother who is a doctor.
Before entering the film industry, Pooja Hegde began her career as a model. She participated in Miss India 2009 but was eliminated early despite winning the title Miss India talented 2009. However, the following year Pooja won second runnerup title at Miss India Universe 2010 competition. The same year she also bagged the title of Miss India South Glamour Hair 2010. Following her success in beauty competitions, she entered the acting world and made her debut with Mysskin’s Tamil superhero movie ‘Mugamoodi’ in the year 2012.
