The Last Kids on Earth video game available in spring 2021 on Nintendo Switch. An all-new action-adventure video game based on Max Brallier’s bestselling and Emmy Award-winning Netflix series.
Outright Games, the world’s leading publisher of interactive family entertainment, Atomic Cartoons, which is a Thunderbird Entertainment Group company, and development studio Stage Clear Studios and Cyber Group Studios (international distributor of Atomic in terms of derivatives, licenses and video games) announced the release of The Last Kids on Earth and the Cursed Scepter (The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom) in the spring of 2021.

Immersed in the terrifying world of The Last Kids on Earth, fans will discover an all-new story with huge levels to explore and hordes of zombies to defeat. The icing on the cake: it will be possible to play in 4-player co-op mode online or locally. In the shoes of Jack, Quint, June and Dirk, the legendary heroes of the series, fans will have to search for the missing pieces of the mighty Rod of Curse to defeat Malondre, the Queen of the Gooey Monsters, before she summons Rezzoch the Elder, Destroyer of the worlds.

To date, the books in the series The Last Kids on Earth have already sold more than five million copies worldwide, and eight titles have been published by Penguin Young Readers (Editions Milan in France under the title “Les mômes of the apocalypse”). Upon its release on September 15, 2020, the latest instalment, The Last Kids on Earth and the Skeleton Road, hit the bestseller lists of The New York Times, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal. The last episode of the Netflix animated series premiered on October 16, 2020.

The intellectual property rights for The Last Kids on Earth were obtained in 2017 by Thunderbird Entertainment Group which is the parent company of Atomic Cartoons. The Netflix animated series debuted in September 2019, with a 66-minute special episode that won an Emmy in 2020 in the “Outstanding Special Class Program” category. Season 2 kicked off in April 2020, and in addition to Season 3, an interactive episode is in production.
Atomic and Cyber Group Studios have also launched a line of merchandise and toys based on the series in collaboration with JAKKS Pacific, as well as a line of T-shirts in collaboration with Hot Topic.
