X introduces two additional subscription plans aimed at enhancing your response rate

X introduces two additional subscription plans

X, formerly known as Twitter, has unveiled a fresh subscription option called Premium Plus, priced at $16 per month, allowing subscribers to pay extra for the most significant enhancement in reply engagement. This plan not only provides the “greatest reply boost” but also removes advertisements from the For You and Following feeds, as outlined in a feature description page.

Premium Plus enhances the benefits offered in X’s standard Premium plan (previously known as Twitter Blue), which encompasses features like a blue checkmark, tweet editing, extended post length, longer video uploads, encrypted direct messaging, and more.

Additionally, X has introduced a “Basic” subscription option priced at $3 per month. However, this plan does not provide an avenue for verification, as it lacks the coveted checkmark, and subscribers will only experience a “modest boost” in their reply engagement. It also does not include reduced ads or access to X’s media studio.

Both these new subscription plans are currently available for purchase exclusively on the web. The standard Premium subscription can be obtained directly for $8 per month. Earlier this month, reports from Bloomberg indicated that X had been testing various paid membership tiers.

Since taking over last year, owner Elon Musk has been actively exploring ways to monetize the platform. He has introduced measures like charging users in New Zealand and the Philippines a nominal fee of $1 per year to access X. Furthermore, Musk has introduced several new features to X, such as live streaming, video and audio calls, and plans to integrate banking services.
