Geforce RTX 3080 Ti, 3060 Mobile & 3050 from HP

Geforce RTX 3080 Ti, 3060 Mobile and 3050 has been spotted in OEM drivers from HP. A driver from HP currently condenses Geforce RTX 3080 Ti as an intermediate step from the RTX 3080 to the 3090.

After the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti only recently appeared in a product database of the EEC, there is now the next reference to the new high-end graphics card from Nvidia in an updated driver version (INF v6.182) for complete PCs from manufacturer HP.

Although only device IDs are listed in the entries, these could allegedly be assigned to the Geforce RTX 3080 Ti, among other things, which is therefore stored in the driver data with “NVIDIA_DEV.2205”.

Besides new high-end model, the relevant excerpt from the driver also includes the Geforce RTX 3060 (without Ti) that has already appeared in the mobile or Max-Q version for laptops, as well as the designated Geforce RTX 3050 from the expected entry-level segment of Nvidia’s current generation of graphics cards. With that, hardware ray tracing or tensor cores are supposed to come into low price ranges for the first time and allegedly dispense with the GTX naming for cards without RTX features, which was still used in the previous generation.

For the Geforce RTX, 3080 Ti as a rumoured high-end reinforcement against AMD’s “Big Navi” graphics cards of the Radeon RX 6000 series, the rumour mill expects that it will have over 10,496 FP32 CUDA cores like the top model in the form of the RTX 3090 but has the same 320-bit memory bus as the RTX 3080 and 20 GiB GDDR6X-RAM. At the same time, the Nvlink for multi-GPU setups is to be omitted, and the memory speed is to be reduced from 19.5 to 19 Gbit / s compared to the RTX 3090, as with the RTX 3080.

The power consumption in the form of the TGP (Total Graphics Power) should be 320 watts, as with the 3080, although a lower clock rate than the 3090 is likely. The new details published by “Kopite7kimi” on Twitter indicate that the Geforce Founders Edition graphics card will be equipped with the PG133 -SKU15 PCB board design and the “GA102-250-KD-A1” chip. In terms of price, the new card should be between 899 and 999 euros, while the release is expected for January.

However, as this is not yet official information, it should be treated with caution as usual.
