An accountability court has issued bailable arrest warrants of former Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani and others accused for not appearing during the hearing of a reference against misuse of powers.
NAB Balochistan had filed the reference against Raisani, his younger brother ex-senator Lashkari Raisani, ex-secretary finance Dostain Jamaldini and five others last month, the Dawn reported.
The reference alleged that the accused received Rs 817 million (Pakistani currency) for the rehabilitation and compensation of the Mehrgarh archive site which was badly damaged during a clash between two tribes.
The accused got approval of this amount by misusing powers, putting pressure on the authorities concerned and preparing wrong estimates of the losses.
