Musk's X will cover the legal expenses of individuals who have been subjected to unfair treatment for their posts on the platform

Elon Musk has announced that his social media platform, X, will cover the legal expenses and take legal action on behalf of individuals who have faced unfair treatment from their employers due to their posts or likes on the platform, formerly known as Twitter.

In a recent post on X, Musk stated, “If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill.” He also emphasized that their response would be forceful, not only suing but also targeting the boards of directors of the companies involved.

Last month, X reported a surge in monthly users, surpassing 540 million. However, the company is undergoing organizational changes and seeking to address declining advertising revenue.

X executives have been claiming robust user engagement, countering competition from Meta Platforms’ Threads, which was launched on July 5th.

Elon Musk rebranded Twitter as X in July, introducing a new logo and signaling a focus on creating an “everything app” for users.

Despite the positive developments, X’s financial situation remains challenging, with negative cash flow due to a significant drop in advertising revenue and a substantial debt burden. An anticipated upturn in advertising revenue for June did not materialize as expected.
