Pixel 6 Owners: Phones Automatically Rejecting a few Incoming Calls

Odd cases have popped up following software updates Google’s unleashed for its latest flagship phones frequently sufficient for us to look into why Android 12 has been so buggy for typical phones.

Some Pixel owners report that their phones fail to achieve an essential task ringing when an incoming call.

Unlike the problem with notification vibrations suddenly changing without reason, this isn’t something we’ve been able to guarantee. However, posts on Reddit (via Android Central and Phone Arena) and Google’s support forums describe issues where some incoming calls seem to be silently rejected, sending the caller directly to voicemail.

Their call log indicates that an incoming call was “declined” when the phone didn’t ring, and they all claim they don’t have any Do Not Disturb setting or other feature enabled that might block the calls. They had a similar problem that turned out to be due to Verizon’s spam filtering, but reports of the issues are consistent across carriers.

There is no authentic way to fix the issue beyond Hail Mary’s suggestions of device resets for those dealing with the problem. Reports of issues mainly come from the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices, but a few owners of older Pixel phones back to the 2XL have said they’ve seen the same thing.

What is a Pixel Phone?

A smartphone from Google was introduced in 2016. Following in the line of ” pure Android devices,” Pixel phones feature fast charging thru USB Type C. They also contain unlimited Google Photos cloud storage, Google’s virtual assistant, 24/7 telephone or chat support, a state-of-the-art laser focus 4K camera, and virtual reality performance.

Upgrade Time Schedule

Like earlier Nexus phones, Google promised two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates from the launch date.

Pixel 6 and 6 Pro (2021)

The 6 Pro is the flagship prototype with a 6.7″ screen, and both the 6 and 6 Pro swapped from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon to Google’s Tensor chip with technical circuits for AI. For example, magic Eraser is a new feature in the Photos app that can withdraw unwanted background distractions from an idea.

The 6 and 6 Pro are also suitable for Pixel Pass, which incorporates the latest phone with promotions every two years, 200GB of cloud storage, restorations and replacements, YouTube Premium, and Google Play Pass.

Although the Pixel 5a screen is slightly more extensive than the 5, the 5a was downgraded to the entry-level model. For instance, there is no more wireless charging, and the screen refresh was lowered from 90Hz to 60Hz. The previous five models and the 5a have identical Snapdragon 765G processors.

Pixel 4a, 4a, 5G, & 5 (2020)

The Pixel 5 is the flagship prototype, and both the five and 4a 5G are 5G capable and 24-bit color depth, ultra-wide cameras, and stereo speakers. However, the 4a has the most petite battery runtime and smallest screen.

Pixel 3 and 4 (2019)

The 3a and 3a XL debuted, delivering a mid-range option for the first time. The Pixel 4 and 4 XL also arrived in 2019. Face recognition superseded the previous fingerprint identification, and the cameras and Google Assistant were enhanced. In addition, hand gestures were counted to perform functions such as switching tracks and muting calls.
