Perform a soft reset on network.

A soft reset causes router and modem to clear caches and refresh. Pres a power button on the front or side of router. You can soft-reset network by opening router’s page and clicking a Reset button in the “Advanced” or “Power” options.

Hard reset the network.

A hard reset causes router and modem to forget previous settings, restoring the network to factory settings including network name and password. Press and hold the “reset” button on the back of the modem for 30 seconds, allow the modem to reboot, & repeat same with the router. The “reset” button is a recessed button on the back of the modem and router. You will require a pen or a paperclip to press the button.

Move closer to the router.

At times computer or smartphone is too far away from the checkpoint to connect. Move closer to router and try to connect again.

Ensure a clear line-of-sight between device and router.

Internet-connected item and router must be place without passing through walls, Appliances and furniture to make a healthy Internet connection deteriorate. Ensure a good and consistent Internet connection to minimizing the number of obstacles between Internet item and the router/modem.
