Health is the body’s functional and metabolic efficiency and its ability to adapt to the physical, mental, and social changes that it is exposed to. Health is the opposite of disease and means the body’s safety from physical, social, and mental disorders. It is the factor that helps a person perform his daily life tasks correctly and adequately.

A person’s physical health means that the body does not have any diseases in all parts of his body. It also implies the safety of all its membranes. While mental and social health is represented by the ability of a person to accomplish social tasks entrusted to him without defect or error.

Thus, the modem concept of health emphasizes the “whole man concept” where they are considered healthy and well adjusted to the environment. Therefore, the modem concept of health, thus, antici­pates and recognizes potentially dangerous situations and implements engineering control measures to block disease or illness or infirmity. In this way, industrial health depends not only on the individual worker but also on the environment in which they live and work.

Physical Health: Physical health concerns infirmity in the employee’s well-being. Employee’s physical well-being and his work are closely related. While an unhealthy employee works less quantitatively and qualitatively, commits accidents, and remains absent from work, a healthy em­ployee produces results opposite these. Mental Health: This refers to the mental soundness of the employees. As is physical health important for good performance, so is mental health also. Experience suggests that three factors, namely, mental breakdowns, mental disturbances, and mental illness impair the mental health of em­ployees.

Ill health results in high absenteeism and turnover, industrial discontent and indiscipline, poor performance, low pro­ductivity and more accidents. In contrast, the natural consequences of good health are a reduction in the rate of absenteeism and turnover, accidents and occupational diseases. Besides, employee health also provides other benefits such as reduced spoilage, improved morale of employees, in­creased productivity of an employee, and more extended working period of an employee, which, of course, cannot be easily measured.

Eat healthy meals: Eating a healthy diet can help boost your immune systems, help you maintain a healthy weight, and improve your overall health.

Add more fruits and vegetables to diet: Adding fruits and vegetables is ideal for starting a healthy routine.

Drink a lot of water: Drinking a lot of water keeps muscles and joints working, increases the amount of water in your blood, promotes healthy skin and cardiovascular health and helps cleanse toxins from your body.
