Add music to your iPhone’s Music app by purchasing music in iPhone’s iTunes Store, by synchronizing computer’s iTunes library onto iPhone, and by using an Apple Music subscription.

Open iTunes.Icon resembles a multicolored musical note on a white background.
Add music to iTunes when needed.MP3 file – double-click when iTunes is default music player, or click File, press Add Folder to Library to select a folder which contains music, and tap Select Folder in the bottom-right corner of the window.

Tap search bar.Tap top of the screen for iPhone’s keyboard to appear on-screen.
Search music.Write the name of a song, an artist, or an album, click Search in the bottom-right corner of iPhone’s keyboard.
Select music.Tap the album or artist for which you searched, then find a specific piece of music or album or a song to download.
Tap music’s price.Generally placed to the right of the song or album that has decided to play.
Confirm purchase.When prompted, scan Touch ID or enter Apple ID password. The music will begin downloading into iPhone’s Music app.
Wait to download.After taking a few minutes, downloading finishes, you’ll be able to find it in iPhone’s Music app. Play to listen.
