5 Strategies to Promote Your Product Reviews

Five stars printed on craft paper with stamp. Rating, best choic

A consumer survey by Bright Local shows the average consumer reads 10 reviews before feeling able to trust a business. Potential customers are more likely to believe in your products if they see genuine, honest, and transparent reviews. From emails to brand ambassadors, here are different methods entrepreneurs can use to utilize product reviews.

Feature Reviews on Your Website

While there are many ways to promote your product reviews, the most common is putting the customer’s name, picture, and testimonial on your website. Make sure you design a testimonial page where customers will immediately see reviews once they open your website. Choose reviews with testimonial-worthy descriptions such as “high quality”, “excellent customer service”, “long-lasting”, and “cost-effective”.

Respond to Reviews Quickly

Whether it is a compelling five-star testimonial or a dreadful one-star review, take the time to respond to the customer. For a negative review, apologize, come up with a resolution, and see what else you can do to make it up to them.

Other customers will see how you respond, so make sure your response will not drive them away. In this way, both current and potential customers will see how your business also values compassion and client interest.

Share Reviews in Emails

There are a number of ways to plan for an email blast. Including written customer reviews in your promotional emails may urge the recipients to check out your website and eventually make a purchase. You can also create video reviews that you can send to customers via email.

If you want to seek customer reviews via email, make sure you attach links where they can directly input their testimonials. You can also link your website, Amazon store, or Yelp page in the email signature. By doing so, you’ll not only be promoting product reviews, but also enticing customers to go to your product launches or buy during a sale period.

Share Reviews on Social Media

Social media is a powerful platform for you to promote products, and you can optimize its effectiveness when promoting product reviews as well. May it be LinkedIn, Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you can upload a photo or video showcasing product reviews from actual customers.

These social media channels also enable current customers to interact or answer a potential customer’s comments.

Likewise, make it accessible for both mobile and computer users to leave a review on your page. Facebook has a dedicated tab where users can see all of the reviews, ratings, and product photos from customers.

Turn Customers Into Brand Ambassadors

Get in touch with customers who either regularly use your product or have given beneficial testimonials. Turn them into brand ambassadors by inviting them to post relevant blog articles or tweets.

It’s one thing to promote your business, but it is a whole other experience for other people to recommend your products. The best reviews will come from customers who have actually tried and tested your products or services. Now, all there’s left to do is to showcase those reviews for other customers to see.
