How to redecorate your bedroom in under an hour

redecorate your bedroom

If there is one room in our home that should be perfectly designed and decorated, it is the bedroom. Bedrooms are a safe space, they are a part of our homes in which we can rest, unwind and relax — letting everything that has happened that day be forgotten.

The only problem with bedrooms is how to approach decorating them. We all know that decorating takes time and money, but what we may not realise is that there are plenty of ways to have the perfect bedroom and not worry about how long it will take.

To help you to work out where to start, we have put together some top tips on how to redecorate your bedroom in under an hour.

Hang some new pictures

One great way that you can redecorate your room is to hang new pictures up on the wall. Depending on the images you choose, you can brighten up the space with colour, or you could have photographs of you and those most important to you.

Whatever type of picture you choose, you can make hanging it easier by installing a picture rail hanging system. Picture rail hanging systems allow you to change around your pictures however you like while lowering the risk of damaging your walls.

Treat yourself to some new bedding

A key feature of your bedroom is your bed (after all, it is the main reason for being in there). This means that one of the best things that you can do to redecorate your bedroom and have it looking as good as new is to treat yourself to new bedding.

Bedding comes in all colours and prints, so you should be able to find one that you love and that will inject some colour and style into your bedroom. Plus, it will feel like a treat as you snuggle down into bed at the end of a long, busy day.

Go for a feature wall

If you think your bedroom needs a touch of fresh paint to bring it to life, but you are short on time and money, then an alternative approach is to create a feature wall.

A ‘feature wall’ is when you paint just one wall in your room a new colour. This will usually be in contrast to the other walls in your room and will work well if you have a neutral colour scheme in place, as there are so many different alternatives that you can go for.

You can also make a feature wall using wallpaper rather than paint. This is quite effective as you can choose from several prints, and will help to provide not only colour but texture too.

Feature walls work well in any bedroom, and because you are only painting one wall and not the entire bedroom, they are much quicker and easier to do.

We hope these ideas will help inspire you to make some changes in your bedroom so that you can create the space you need and the look that you are after.

Then, when the time comes to head up to the bed, you’ll be able to fall asleep in both comfort and style.
