World Laughter Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of May every year to spread happiness in the whole world.
Laughing is one the cheapest and the mildest form of therapy in the world. It has the power of healing not only your soul but also your body. It relieves physical tension, relaxes your whole body, and boosts your immune. It works as an antidote for stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh.
You may have heard the phrase, ‘laughter is the best medicine.’ So laugh whenever you get the chance, even when people give you funny looks, don’t stop laughing. The right kind of person will start laughing too, without even knowing why. Laughter is a universal language.
Laughter gives hope, inspires, and connects people to others. It keeps you focused, grounded, and alert. It helps you release anger and forgive sooner.
Just a slight giggle or a simple smile can completely change the atmosphere and mood of the surroundings. It has the power to renew and heal.
Phyllis Diller once said, “A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.”
Amid of Coronavirus lockdown, it might be the only contagious thing that you want to catch.
Laughter improves the function of blood vessels. It increases the blood flow, protects you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems. A good hearty laugh everyday relieves a person from stress and physical tension. Hence, to mark the importance of laughter, World laughter day is celebrated every year.
Every year more than 70 countries around the world celebrate World Laughter Day on the first Sunday of May.
World Laughter Day : History

Several community groups regularly practice simple international techniques that promote wellness and overall well-being around the world; these community groups are known as Laughter Clubs.
