Bungie might be promoting Fortnite skins for Destiny 2 on Tuesday. Bungie appears to be getting inclined to add Fortnite skins to Destiny 2.
After Fortnite leaker, MidaRado knocked a potential Destiny 2 collab over the weekend, Ginsor — a well-known Destiny data miner. It has established the crossover with an illustration showing off several Classic Fortnite skins in Destiny 2.
The image, which was likely acquired from Bungie’s website, includes a Titan armor set that looks like the Black Knight skin that was initially obtainable from the season pass of Fortnite season 2. In addition, Destiny’s Warlock is also offered a Fortnite-like Drift Mask, and the Hunter looks like Fortnite’s Omega skin.
It’s not clear how Destiny 2 players will be able to receive these Fortnite skins or when they’ll be part of the game. It’s more than likely that the Fortnite skins will be universal decorations in Destiny 2, so players can use them for any armor sets and customize characters. Fortnite could also get its Destiny skins, and there are plenty of characters that Bungie could potentially place inside the Fortnite world.
It isn’t the first time Bungie has added crossover content to Destiny 2. For example, Bungie celebrated its 30th anniversary with a particular content fall that included Halo-like firearms in Destiny 2. The 30th Anniversary package for Destiny 2, released late last year, had a Magnum-like sidearm with a Battle Rifle-like pulse rifle in the looter shooter.
This Fortnite crossover leak comes just days before Bungie is set to reveal season 18 of Destiny 2 and the next major expansion to the franchise: Lightfall. Bungie has scheduled a Destiny 2 showcase for Tuesday, August 23, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET. It’s the first significant Destiny 2 showcase since Sony acquired Bungie for $3.7 billion earlier this year.

Destiny 2 (also understood as Destiny 2: New Light and in Korea as Destiny: Guardians) is an online-only free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter video game created by Bungie. It was unleashed as a pay-to-play game in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. It became free-to-play, employing the games as a service model, under the New Light title on October 1, 2019, heeded by the game’s release on Stadia the following month, and then on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 venues in December 2020.
Activision broadcasted the fun until December 31, 2018, when Bungie acquired the publishing rights to the franchise. It is the string to 2014’s Destiny and its following expansions.
Set in a “mythic science fiction” globe, the game characterizes a multiplayer “shared-world” environment with elements of role-playing games. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. In addition to regular story missions, PvE features three-player “strikes” slammers and six-player raids.
An accessible rove patrol mode is also available for each destination which features public occasions and activities not available in the original. These activities emphasize exploring goals and interactions with non-player characters (NPCs); the original Destiny only featured NPCs in social slots. PvP features objective-based modes, as well as conventional deathmatch game modes.
