Here’s why Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t deserve the hatred she receives
Gwyneth Kate Paltrow was born on 27th September 1972, in Los Angeles. She is an American actress, singer, author, and a wonderful businesswoman. She made films like Seven, Sliding Doors, and A Perfect Murder with some romantic movies like Shakespeare In love.
Kate has received various awards, including Golden Globe, Emmy award, and Academy award for best actress was won by her at an early stage of her career. The Royal Tenenbaums, Shallow Hal, The talented Mr. Ripley and the World of Tomorrow are also some of her movies in which remarkable work was done.
Paltrow reduced her Film work when she became a mother and occasionally appeared only in films like “Proof.” She was nominated for the best actress for Golden Globe Award for this movie. From 2009 to 2019, she earned many awards for spectacular work done by her in various films.
Gwyneth Paltrow was considered as “the most hated celebrity” in 2013. But the question arises is what did the ‘Goop’ founder do to get such hatred from the public? People appear to hate the tremendous famous Hollywood stars for everything. Be it her excellent family, her smart looks, her successful career, or her privileged background, everything about her is hated by the public.
People hated Paltrow based on beating the goods of Cate Blanchett and Mery Streep when she won an Oscar at the early age of her career. Actress in ‘Shakespeare in Love’ shut down her critics, and her every role was scrutinized. Her performances became brilliant year after year. She became very popular among all filmmakers and directors for movies. It took very little time to get popularity among the mass also.
She met a lot of criticism when she decided to launch her own new brand named “Goop” with her personal wellness and lifestyle.
The price tags on the brand items were high and appeared the rich, out-of-touch material made for privileged women. In a short period, “Goop” was recognized as a luxury wellbeing brand with alternative health systems.
Gwyneth, in fact, did many social activities and raised funds for people needing them. Paltrow is an artist ambassador of Save the Children, raising awareness about World Pneumonia Day. She is the board member of the Robin Hood Foundation. It is a charitable organization that works to alleviate poverty in New York City. President Barack Obama attended a Democratic fundraiser in Los Angeles, which was hosted by her in October 2014. Actor Bradley Whitford and Paltrow hosted a fundraiser for Democratic Presidential candidate Mayor Pete Buttigieg In May 2019.
In 2016, Gwyneth quit the relation with her husband, Chris Martin. The label given to that broke up was “conscious uncoupling” instead of mentioning it as a divorce. The couple continued and handled their separation was only admirable, but Gwyneth was ridiculed for the phrases used for divorce. A friendly relation was maintained between them after divorce, and they managed to be there for each other.
Gwyneth has been a leading, successful, and focused woman despite all harsh criticisms. These criticisms only seem to irk the public more. The actress set the record straight despite the assumptions that she must have had it easy in her life. She was always considered to be the lady born into vast wealth.
The actress commented on her thoughts in an interview with BBC HARDTALK about being the most hated celebrity. Gwyneth said she is the most hated celebrity, more than Chris Brown, and she even not realize what she did wrong? All she did has been by her authentically, and people always draw conclusions about her. She added, saying it was still believed I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but it’s just a perception of people I cannot change and leads to a lot of resentment.
Gwyneth continued saying, “My father always asked me to be completely on my own. He never gave me anything and never helped me with house rent. I never had trust funds or any supplementation from my father. I am even surprised at how people hold such perceptions about someone without knowing them properly. So the idea of the public that I am not brought up properly or spoiled or didn’t work properly is not accurate.”
Although Gwyneth received lots of criticism, nobody can deny that she is talented and hard-working. For a recurring role on ‘Glee,’ she won an Emmy and, after that, performed in Oscars with Ceelo Green. With members of “Glee” and some members of “Forget You,” Gwyneth makes it to Billboard charts. By working hard and showcasing her talent, Gwyneth turns people’s hatred towards her into an excellent success story.
