1. Runway 34

This forthcoming thriller film, starring, directed, and produced by Ajay Devgn, is based on actual events that came into the headlines in 2015. It is based on Jet Airways Doha-Kochi flight, which had a tight escape due to bad weather conditions and low visibility. As a result, the flight captain with 150 passengers on board had to do a ‘blind’ landing on the runway. Eventually, he was demoted to the co-pilot status.

2. Prithviraj

This forthcoming movie is based on the heroism of the stout-hearted king Prithviraj Chauhan who fought against Muhammad of Ghor. Directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj stars Akshay Kumar and debut actress Manushi Chillar. Also featuring Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood in pivotal roles, this historical action drama is a biopic of a legendary warrior king in the First Battle Of Train.

3. Shabaash Mithu

There are not a lot of Bollywood films based on female athletes, similar to Mary Kom. However, Shabaash Mithu is the biopic of cricketer and the present Test and ODI captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team, Mithali Raj. Directed by Srijit Mukherji and produced by Viacom18 Studios, the film has Taapsee Pannu in the lead. She can be seen donning a blue jersey in the first look she shared on her Instagram.

4. Major

Major is a biographical action drama directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, produced by Sony Pictures India. This movie, based on actual events, tells the journey of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who had sacrificed his life by saving people in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. It stars Telugu actor Adivi Sesh; the film was about to release earlier this year but eventually got postponed due to the third wave of Covid.

5. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect

The movie is based on a former scientist and aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan’s life at the Indian Space Research Organisation. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is next on the list of movies based on actual events. Written, produced, directed, and starring Madhavan. The story spans the life of the scientist who was falsely accused of espionage. The film also focuses on how he fought for years for justice.

6. Maidaan

It is based on the golden era of Indian football. Maidaan is a movie that takes on Ajay Devgn as the protagonist. He can be seen as coach Syed Abdul Rahim. The one who trained and guided the Indian football team to win the Asian Games in 1951 and 1962. Pippa is a film starring Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyulibased on war. It is directed by Raja Krishna Menon and co-produced by Siddharth Roy and Ronnie Screwvala. Featuring war hero Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, Ishaan Khatter will be seen in an avatar that has never been seen.
