Huawei Watch GT2 Pro is chic, classy and does not need to be charged for days.
With the soft fluoroelastomer wristband supplied with the sports version, it hugs the wrist extremely comfortably. This is also favored by the low weight of 65 grams, despite the generous dimensions of 47 millimeters.

Huawei has been relying more on wearables lately. In a way, the Watch GT 2 Pro represents the current smartwatch flagship. As with smartphones, Huawei can shine with the Watch GT2 Pro with its workmanship and feel: The watch comes with a titanium-alloyed metal case and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Huawei has also used very scratch-resistant ceramic for the back.

With the soft fluoroelastomer wristband supplied with the sports version, it hugs the wrist extremely comfortably. This is also favored by the low weight of 65 grams, despite the generous dimensions of 47 millimeters. So you hardly notice the watch when you wear it. The 1.4-inch OLED, which scores with crisp colors and high luminosity, is also great.
The GT 2 Pro is waterproof to 5 ATM, but that’s actually only enough for showering or bathing. You shouldn’t swim or dive with her. Otherwise, you can use the watch to record your activities using a variety of sport modes. On board are GPS, heart rate sensor, barometer and even a pulse oximeter to measure the oxygen saturation in the blood.
While the routes measured with the Watch GT 2 Pro are fairly accurate, the pulse sensor is unfortunately not very helpful during training. The display deviates significantly from our reference, a heart rate belt from Polar and a Garmin worn for control.
This means that targeted training in certain heart rate areas is unfortunately not possible – we don’t know that from Huawei. This also makes the running course available directly via the watch obsolete. Actually a great feature.
The back of the Watch GT 2 Pro is made of ceramic. Huawei can still improve the accuracy of the pulse sensor.

As far as the health functions are concerned, the Watch GT 2 Pro offers 24-hour pulse tracking, the usual pedometer and distance meter, an inactivity warning that reminds the user at the desk to get up again. On top of that, the watch records the stress level and sleep data. The Huawei Health app is used to evaluate the data and to make settings on the watch.
For the recorded sports sessions, it provides everything you need to know in clear diagrams and lists. The training effect, VO2max and the regeneration time are also displayed. Exemplary: For each point there is an explanatory classification of your own values. The same applies to the sleep data, although the app also gives tips for better sleep.
Since the GT 2 Pro is linked to the phone via Bluetooth, you can also receive incoming messages from defined apps on the watch or take calls. Thanks to the integrated microphone and loudspeaker, you can even make calls over the clock. But that’s where the smartness ends. Because there is no way to reply to messages – not even with ready-made phrases.
Apps are hardly available for the watch so far, and there is also a lack of mobile payment. The GT 2 Pro, on the other hand, excels in terms of battery life: with 200 hours in smartwatch mode and 20 hours in sport mode, it gets full points. This should be enough for around twelve days of use.
Huawei Smartwatch with Harmony OS could be presented in 2021. New rumors have surfaced in China about a Huawei smartwatch with Harmony OS. The new watch is to be presented in 2021. The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is currently the flagship of Huawei watches.

Will it replace a model with Harmony OS in 2021?
The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is currently the flagship of Huawei watches. Huawei will present products with the in-house Harmony OS in 2021. Now a new Huawei Smartwatch could also be the topic.
The fact that Harmony OS can play a very big role for Huawei from 2021 onwards has recently been known since the ailing trade relations with the USA and the manufacturer has to do without Android and other things. The first smartphones will appear with the in-house operating system. But as Gizmochina now reports, a smartwatch with the new system will soon be shown. The report comes from the Chinese network Weibo, where an informant scattered the details. This step is definitely not absurd. The manufacturer recently presented the developer kit for Harmony OS 2.0 at the in-house Huawei Developer Conference and also stated that it was fit for smartwatches.
So far, the information situation about the Huawei Smartwatch with Harmony OS is very thin. There are no details about the hardware yet, which makes the question of a successor to the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro rather difficult. The watch could possibly also become its very own product series. In addition, the information about the new watch is anything but official.
Of course, we have to wait for a possible introduction or more tangible leaks.
