You love a touch of sparkle and glam, especially when it comes to interior design – but glam can go wrong fast. Plus, you’re not too thrilled about breaking the budget on the trendiest, most lustrous decorative vase or ornament. The solution: if you’re on the lookout for ways to bring elegant shine into your space, check out our top five creative ways to use pearls in home décor.

1. Create a Boho Wall Hanging or Baby Mobile

Whether you’re in the process of setting up the nursery or looking for ways to decorate your rather bare walls, a chic mobile / wall hanging that showcases the beauty of pearls is a welcomed addition. Take the bohemian-inspired route and use dainty florals, add a natural touch with twine and wood, plus your selection of sparkly crystals and loose white pearls. The results: a definite upgrade from the plastic-loaded mobiles on the market, plus the surest way to add a chic touch to any space, be it the baby’s room or your living-room.

2. Step up Your Tablescape Game with Pearl Napkin Rings

Napkin rings certainly elevate your dinnertime experience. And if you love sharing your culinary skills and hosting is your game, a new set of chic napkin rings that bring on the shine is a great idea. There are many ways to go about this little DIY pearl ring project. Option one: use thick metallic wire and only a few accent pearls (preferably larger in size or uniquely shaped like Baroque types). Alternatively, go for option two and use a variety of pearls all around on a thinner wire. Regardless of your choice, the verdict is in: upgraded, gourmet-restaurant level ambiance at your next dinner party.

3. Create a Chic Way to Welcome Light into Your Home

You love the look of thick, luxe curtains, draping flawlessly al the way to the floor. But while the heavy curtain look might be agreeing with your interior design mojo, it isn’t the most practical when in need of a little sunlight. Extra heavy curtains pulled to the side of your windows are your rather impractical go-to, but if you’re on the hunt for ideas on upgrading your window treatment game with a shiny touch, look no further than this chic DIY project, loaded with pearls. The easy route: simply use two identical pearl necklaces as curtain holders (ideally, go for two or three-layer pieces). Alternatively, you can craft your very own curtain holder using a mish mash of gems, including pearls and semi-precious stones for a look that’s slightly on the more eclectic side.

4. Glam up Your Halloween Decor

Halloween is just around the corner and you aren’t thrilled with the idea of welcoming an overabundance of bright orange in your home. No worries, as this year is all about glammed up Halloween festivities – and that starts with your décor. Instead of the predictable orange and black color combo, take the elegant route and opt for an all-white Halloween, complete with this next chic DIY. Use mini pumpkins in white and glam them up with loose pearls and other bling in ivory tones. Still on brand, yet a far departure from the spooky and boldly hued décor pieces available on the market.

5. Opt for Festive Vibes with Pearly Stars

And since we’re already talking about the festive season, there’s no better time to start prepping up your Christmas décor arsenal than in the midst of fall. Get started with this super-easy project that features, you guessed, radiant pearls, cardboard stars and your trusted glue gun. For a more traditional aesthetic, opt for a combination of red gems, beads, rhinestones and pearls for that unmistakable red & white festive look that simply can’t miss the mark.

And there you have it: five easy, chic and affordable ways to welcome a little glam and shine into your home, now and during the upcoming festive season. Whether you choose to go for a pearly wall hanging, a bedazzled pumpkin collection or an elegant dinner table statement, pearls are one of the chicest ways to introduce glow in any space.

Moving To A New State

Moving to a new state can be exciting of daunting. Whether you are moving for work or just for a change of scenery, you are likely to have mixed feelings.

In the chaos of moving there are a lot of things that you can easily overlook. Check out these tips for moving to another state.

Do your research

There is a ton of information that you can find online. There is no need to move to a different state without knowing anything.

You can look up information like local restaurants, social venues, recreational activities, and local businesses.

Moving to a new state can be daunting. You may feel isolated or lost. But it is possible to know as much about your new neighborhood as any local with a bit of research.

Make your move as comfortable as possible by getting to know the area ahead of time.

Start packing early

Packing is the type of job that you can easily underestimate. You have box everything up, decide what to keep and what to give away. You will probably come across many things in your house that you had forgotten about.

Don’t leave this until that last minute. Start packing all your non-essentials first. The more you can get done early, the easier it will be come moving time.

Moving is often stressful because you can easily lose track of all the things you need to take with you. By packing early, you will refresh your memory and be able to work out everything that is going with you.

It is a good idea to start your packing by throwing out everything that is clearly junk. By sorting through all of your stuff, you can work out exactly how many boxes you will need.

Next, you should separate the things that you want to take with you from things that you don’t want but are too good to throw away.

Give yourself enough time to hold a garage sale or sell things on eBay. This is the best way to get rid of unwanted items as it will give you some extra cash to help with moving expenses.

Once you have sorted out the things you are taking with you, start boxing up the things you won’t be using before the move. Label the boxes clearly and make an inventory of what’s in each box.

Make things as easy as possible for yourself. With all boxes labeled and an inventory, it will be a breeze on moving day.

Secure your new home

You should contact a real estate agent several months before you plan to move. A local real estate agent will have specialized knowledge of the area you are moving to and can help you find the best place for the right price.

Whether you plan to rent or buy, you should make sure you have the place well before moving day. It may seem obvious, but there have been many people who waited too long before securing their new house. When it came time to move, there were all sorts of unforeseen problems at the last minute which delayed their move.

The point is to minimize as many problems as possible. You want to know that your new home is ready for you to move in. It is best if you can drive down ahead of time to inspect the place and make sure there are no problems.

Make sure that the power and gas will be connected on the day you move in or earlier. Make sure there is nothing that you need to buy like lightbulbs or cleaning supplies.

You should be able to settle in as soon as your belongings are delivered and unpacked.

Hire the right moving company

There is a lot of competition among moving companies. Make sure you choose one that will give you the best service.

Ask friends and family about their experiences and if they have any recommendations.

Look at reviews online. These are often very helpful and can give you a good idea of what to expect.

You should also get quotes for at least three companies. If they are good ones, they will conduct an onsite inspection of your goods, or they may request a video survey, before quoting you a price.

You should also make sure that they have all the necessary licenses.

Forward your mail

Ideally, you should contact USPS a few weeks before you move and let them know that you need your mail forwarded. You can do this easily by visiting their website and selecting the date that you want them to start forwarding your mail.

This is something that is easy to overlook, so it’s best to get on it early. You don’t want important mail being sent to your old address after you have already moved.

Update your driver’s license

Most states require you to obtain a new driver’s license within a certain period of time after moving in. This is one more thing that you should get done earlier rather than later.

It is simple to do. Just visit the local department of motor vehicles.

You will need your previous driver’s license. You will also need proof that you are now a resident like some utility bills or a copy of your lease.

As well as these, you will most likely need a copy of your birth certificate and your social security number.

You will want to update your license as soon as possible to avoid any hassles, especially if you have to drive for work.

Important documents

One thing that is easily overlooked are important documents. These can include birth certificates, licenses, medical records, lease agreements, and the list goes on.

Put all your important documents together in a folder and label it clearly.

You may also need to prepare medicine if required.

Keeping these important items handy will save you a lot of headaches during the move. Documents have a way of getting lost, so make sure you have all of yours together in one place.

Self-Storage

If you’re making a big move or you don’t have enough space anymore, you have probably considered renting a self-storage unit. These are a great way to hold your stuff when you won’t be needing it for a while.

Self-storage is an inexpensive way to store your furniture and boxes that you won’t be using, but don’t want to throw out or sell.

A self-storage unit is usually just four walls and a roof with a door that you can lock. Pretty simple right? But there are some ways you can go wrong. Here are some tips to make sure you get the most from your storage unit.

Take an inventory

Take an inventory of everything that you want to move into storage. You don’t have to make a super-detailed list, but it should contain the names of large items and the number of boxes to be stored.

With this information, you will be able to judge the correct size storage unit you will need.

An inventory will also help you plan how to pack your storage unit. Since you are paying for the unit, you don’t want to waste money by packing things haphazardly and taking up more room than you actually need.

Manage risk

Self-storage units are pretty secure, but they aren’t perfect. There is always a risk that it will be broken into, or your goods could get damaged by rain and bad weather. Nothing is certain in life so plan for the worst and you will always be prepared.

As a general rule, don’t store anything that is too valuable to lose. You should have the attitude that anything you put in storage could potentially be lost for good.

If you have anything that you absolutely can’t bear to lose, then find an alternative place to keep it. Storage is best for things that would be nice to keep but you don’t want them around right now.

Pack strategically

While your storage unit will remain untouched most of the time, you never know when you will need to access the items inside. Make sure you pack things in a way that makes sense.

You should be able to find whatever you are looking for without having to move boxes around and make a big mess. You don’t want to make the situation worse every time you need to look for a family album or some old documents. The messier your storage unit is the harder it will be to find anything.

Stack boxes neatly and make sure they are labeled and the labels are visible. Don’t label them on the top or bottom where it can be covered up. Put the labels on the side of the boxes, preferably so that all the labels on all the boxes can be seen at the same time.

Stack items so that there is a clear walking space to move around in. You don’t want the unit to be packed so tightly that you have to pull out a lot of boxes and climb over things to get at one box buried at the back.

Don’t attract vermin

Be careful about the items that you put in storage. If you have something that is likely to spoil, it may create a bad smell. Aside from the smell getting onto all of your other items, it can attract pests such as bugs or even rats.

Canned food is usually alright, but be careful of other packed food. Even if it doesn’t go off, the package could be damage and expose the food inside. This can attract rats and mice that will damage all of your other items.

If you store clothing, make sure it is sealed in plastic. You don’t want moths to lay eggs in it. The larvae will eat holes in the fabric and ruin the clothes. This is true of furniture that has fabric too. Make sure your furniture is properly covered and sealed up so the moths can’t get at it.

Get insurance

If you have property insurance, check if it covers goods in storage. If not, take the time to look at your insurance options.

There is any number of ways that your stuff can get damaged. Some of them we have discussed in this article. Since you went to the trouble of putting your goods into storage, they still hold value. It’s worth paying a little extra to keep them insured.

Even if your stuff is mainly for sentimental value and isn’t worth much, you should still have it insured. You may not think you will ever need it, but you might be surprised how much you will need if you ever have to replace your goods.

Choose a reputable company

This may seem like an obvious one. But you really should do some research when you are considering renting personal-storage.

Not all storage companies are created equal. You might benefit from a moving company that also has storage options like California Movers. Or you may prefer to do the moving yourself and choose a storage company that just rents out units.

Whichever option you choose, make sure to look at online reviews from real people before you hand over any money. Look at what past customers have to say about a storage company. That will give you the best indication of which one is right for you.

Don’t leave things unprotected

A storage unit may seem secure, but it is still possible for your items to get damaged.

Cover furniture with blankets and use moving pads. Don’t use plastic on furniture. It traps moisture which can lead to mildew that will damage the furniture.

Make sure that all your boxes are packed well and nothing is exposed to the open air. Cover them in a tarpaulin to protect them from any water that may drip on them.

Make sure that everything is in boxes. There shouldn’t be any loose items on the floor or sitting on top of other boxes. That’s just asking for trouble.

If you have fragile items, make sure they are packed in tissue paper or newspaper. Place them in a way that they can’t move around or fall over.

Assume that your items could fall or be moved and pack them accordingly. As long as you are careful, you can keep all your stuff in good condition.

Home Security

Spending large portions of the day—or longer when it comes to work travel—is stressful enough for today’s often overburdened workers. While most people don’t feel they have time to worry about what is going on at home during the work day, it is nearly impossible not to. If you have children, pets, or expensive items or family heirlooms in your home, you are going to worry. It is human nature.

There are ways that you can reduce the stress you feel when you are away from home from dawn to dusk, or for days on end.

Here are four ways to minimize stress when away from home:

1. Keep Up Regular Home Maintenance

If you travel for long stretches of time, you stand the chance of leaving your home looking as if it is vacant or simply uncared for. An unkempt yard can attract the attention of some bad characters, so make sure to perform regular upkeep, or hire someone you trust to do so. Consider hiring a local landscaping company to tend to grass and weeds and a pool maintenance team to clean your pool and balance the chemicals. Regular visits from these home care professionals also helps to maintain the appearance of a busy atmosphere, making it a riskier proposition to try to burglarize your home or cause other problems.

2. Invest In Identity Theft Protection

Investing in a high-quality identity theft protection, such as Lifelock, can help you protect your financial assets and reputation in case someone does ever break into your home and steal your belongings. With a full menu of services packed into detailed plans, you can put a damper on criminal activity as soon as you realize your information has been stolen.

3. Install a Manual Lock on Your Garage Door

If you have a high-tech, remote-operated garage door, disconnect it when you are traveling. Hacking is standard behavior for cybercriminals these days, and that behavior could easily apply to local neighborhood thieves who understand that garage openers can sometimes be opened by universal remotes. Go ahead and disengage your garage door opener and go with a manual lock.

4. Don’t Advertise Your Comings and Goings on Social Media

It is easy to develop a certain degree of comfort when talking to friends, family and co-workers on social media, discussing upcoming work trips and how long you will be away. Keep in mind that your friends or followers also have friends and followers. You simply can’t know how many degrees of separation there are between you and a local criminal waiting to rob your house while you are away. Minimize the personal details that you provide on the open timeline, such as your home’s location and your schedule, whether your daily schedule or your travel itinerary. Discuss those matters only in private messages or off-platform.

By tightening up entryways to your home, making sure your property looks happily lived in, minimizing personal details you provide to strangers, and reducing potential risk with identity theft protection, you can lessen stress daily without much effort.

wood stove

It might be convenient to use an electrical stove at home, but it’s not necessarily the most environment-friendly option. It uses fossil fuels which leave a carbon footprint. You also end up spending a lot on gas and fuel because of the amount of dishes you prepare each day.

The good thing is that a wood stove could be an alternative. It might seem like a thing of the past, but it’s making a comeback. More people see the significance of this type of stove. These are the signs that you need to consider switching to a wood stove.

Your electric bills are skyrocketing

It’s frustrating when you have to pay huge amounts of money for your monthly electric bills. Since you keep using the electrical stove, it contributes to the rising cost so cutting it by replacing it with a wood stove could significantly reduce your bills. You can compare the amount you will pay the following month with the previous bills and you will see a substantial change.

You have an outdoor area for cooking

The only downside when you cook using wood is that it could pose risk for internal use. However, if there’s ample space in your outdoor area, you can install the stove there. It’s safer to cook with wood outdoors.

You have a reliable source of log

It’s also easier to cook using wood when you don’t have to look for it. You can order wood and have it delivered to your place. You can consider kiln dried ash logs if you want quality food that lasts long. You won’t have a problem even if you use it for daily cooking.

You know someone who can install the wood stove

You can look at videos on how to install a wood stove, and it might seem easy – the truth is it’s a difficult process. Therefore, you need someone to do it for you and with a professional doing the job, it won’t take a lot of time. You will have a quality stove in no time.

You worry about the environment

You can’t keep complaining about global warming if you’re not doing anything to help save the environment. If you want to talk the talk, you can start by installing a wood stove at home; it’s a step in the right direction. You know that the use of traditional energy source could adversely impact the environment as even if it seems inconvenient to use wood, you know that it’s the right thing to do. With these signs, it’s time for you to move towards the use of wood stove.

You can cook as much as you want without feeling guilty because you’re using wood. It might be expensive to install the wood stove, but you will see that it’s cost-effective. Besides, your primary goal is to save the environment and you can also encourage your friends to do the same. When everyone stops using traditional energy sources, it would create a huge impact on our effort to protect the environment.

Before you head off to college you need to organize where you’re going to stay. Some students can stay at home as they live close to the campus but there are others who need someplace else to lay their head. When it comes to finding the right student housing you need to consider a few factors. These factors are:

What’s Included in the Cost

Some houses will come with the internet and the bills included whereas some won’t. Some houses will come complete with a washing machine and a dishwasher, others will expect you to visit a laundromat and wash your dishes by hand.

If it’s important to you that you have access to WiFi (and chances are it is), you’ll want to ensure it’s included in the price. Some houses also include a games room or even a gym but that could mean you’ll end up sharing with a bunch of people.

The Location

Would you be happy for your student housing to be located pretty close to the college? Or would you prefer if you were 10 minutes away? Do you want to be in the center of town or are you happy to stay anywhere?

When it comes to searching for the right student housing you’ll need to make sure you can get to and from college easily.

Don’t forget to work out whether living 10 minutes away by car is worth the money you’ll spend traveling to college. It might be cheaper to live across the street and walk to your classes.

Make sure that there’s a supermarket nearby and a doctor’s office. Consider all of those things you’d want nearby and whether your chosen location offers them.

Who You’ll be Sharing the Accommodation With

Are you happy to share your housing with 4 other students or do you want to live by yourself? Could you put up with sharing the housing with just one person or are you a ‘The more the merrier’ type?

When you’re looking for somewhere to live you’ll need to think about how many people you’ll be happy to live with. Your budget might well affect this so you may have to compromise.

What you’ll Need to Take with you

Will you need to go out and buy plates and bowls along with cutlery or will this be supplied? What about bed sheets? Will you need to bring your own or are they also supplied?

Find out what you need to bring with you so you can start getting yourself prepared. Be mindful that some student housing could be more expensive than others if all you need to bring is yourself and your clothes. Work out whether it’s offering you good value for money.

Considering all of the above factors can help you to find the right student housing for you. Try not to snap up the first place you see unless it offers you everything you need. Remember, you’re going to be spending the next few years living in student housing so it’s important you chose somewhere ideal.

New House

Doing your house up can potentially cost a lot of money. While many people are tempted to save as much money as they can it can affect the quality of the work. However, there are a few methods you could use to save money without affecting the quality.

This article will help you save money so your bank balance isn’t affected quite as badly.

Set a Budget and Stick to it

One of the first things you need to do is to set and stick to a budget. Start with an amount that you can spend before you work on the specifics of the design. Now add the fixtures and fittings and you’ll have an idea as to what you can and can’t afford.

Do the Work Yourself

If you can, you might want to do the work yourself, if you can put up shelves and cupboards you could save a lot of money. However, you should always hire an electrician if you’re not qualified. This is because electricity can be fatal to work with if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Reuse Some of your Materials

One of the best ways to save yourself money is to reuse as many of your materials as you can. Try to reuse your kitchen cabinets even if you need to repaint them. Also, consider re-upholstering your sofa and buying pre-used products such as a kitchen table and chairs.

Try to Find a Balance

You might be more than happy to pay for a high-end kitchen. However, if it means your oven has to be a cheap one you might have to re-think. Try to find more of a balance and buy good quality products all-round. This will ensure you’re left with enough money to buy what you need without compromise.

Get Help from Family and Friends

Don’t want to do all the work yourself? Ask your family and friends to help you. For example, if you have a friend who happens to be quite the tile expert ask them to help you decorate your bathroom or kitchen. Make sure you agree as to when the work needs to be carried out and how much it’s going to cost you. Also, make sure that the money you’re going to pay is reasonable. Chances are you won’t be charged as much as your friend’s regular client but it’s always worth finding out.

Try to Avoid Knocking Down a Wall

So you’ve decided you want to knock down a wall to make the family room bigger. However, are you prepared to pay for the relocation of a gas pipe and a load-bearing beam? While having a larger family room might be nice, it could result in a lot of work. Unless you simply cannot live without a larger family, you should always think twice about making such major changes.

As you can see, with a bit of thought you can save money on doing your house up. Just make sure you set a budget, do as much of the work as you can, and reuse some materials. Don’t forget to find a balance so you don’t spend too much money on one aspect. Also, make sure you’re not going to change your home’s footprint unless you really need to.

Without a doubt, recent technological innovations have brought around a revolution in lifestyles – and not just for the mega-rich. Although some forms of technology can be viewed as modern status symbols, for many people it is about making lives easier, less stressful and altogether more comfortable. But, there are tangible benefits for our pockets and for the environment too.

When we think of smart technology, we think of the convenience of being able to control home appliances remotely and there is a certain convenience to being able to switch off the iron you forgot about, just as there is in dimming lights or adjusting the central heating without getting out of bed. You can monitor your home, the kids, and visitors to your front door or your pets from work. For sure, there is convenience, but will paying more for a smart device now save money later?

How Smart Homes and Appliances help with Managing Electricity Bills

As it happens, many smart appliances are also smart energy savers. Although purchasers may be looking for convenience or even some sort of kudos, it is its energy efficiency, that makes it a  marketable product and it is possible to save a good chunk of money on your energy bills kitting out your smart home with smart appliances.

Here are a few ways smart technology helps you with managing electricity bills.

  • Smart appliances are very efficient and perform the required task in just a few minutes saving both time and energy.
  •  You can manage your appliances and lighting and heating remotely turning off what is not required or switching on ready for your arrival home or as a crime prevention strategy if you are away.
  • A smart home thermostat keeps your home at the perfect temperature turning off hot water heaters and central heating once at a set temperature automatically to create a saving.
  • Smart appliances that use motion sensors switch off lights and heating or cooling systems automatically when no one is around.
  • Smart refrigerators sound an alert you if the door is left open and you can close it remotely too with your remote control or app. They also maintain the correct temperatures and adjust settings accordingly to maintain the optimal thereby saving energy.

Another benefit of these appliances is that most perform self-diagnosis and troubleshooting. Some adjustments and repairs can be carried out remotely keeping call out and maintenance costs minimal.

Smart appliances may still be the more pricey option but can pay for themselves within a year or two by reducing your energy consumption by reducing wastage. Although the savings may amount to only a few pennies a day, the pennies add up to more substantial sums over the course of a year and contribute a considerable saving over the lifetime of the appliance. However, when you use smart appliances coupled with a right energy plan, you can end up saving a lot more, and that is where energy comparison sites like https://www.simplyswitch.com/ can help. So, go ahead and do your research to start your energy saving journey from today!

Some Fun Things

A family reunion can be a stressful, reluctant affair for some or an eagerly anticipated affair for others. No matter how you—or anyone else in the family—feel about family reunions, it helps if there are things to do that everyone can enjoy together. That can be a tall order depending on how many people are at the reunion, as well as the age ranges of everyone present. Games are always a great way to get everyone involved, but what type of game should you choose?

Team sports are fun, but not everyone might be in shape. Puzzles exercise the brain, but not everyone might have the patience. So how about an activity that combines the two? How about an escape room? They are great for all age ranges and they are the perfect combination of the physical and mental. If you want to book an escape room for your family reunion, then visit the website and prepare to have a blast.

What Is An Escape Room?

The name says it all: An escape room is a room in which a group of people are locked, they then have to figure out how to get out—within a time limit—by searching the room for clues and solving puzzles that crop up.  Those clues are hidden all over the room and they tend to lead to more clues that lead to puzzles which eventually leads to the way out. The mix of finding clues and solving puzzles means that lots of different people can take part in an escape room, making it a true team-based effort. Some people may be great at finding clues, others may be better at solving certain kinds of puzzles, so everyone gets to participate.

An escape room is the perfect activity for the whole family because everyone has to work together. And since such a diverse set of skills is needed, there will always be something for everyone to do. When you think about the activities that a family could do together, the usual activities come to mind; playing board games, watching a movie, or participating in a sporting activity. However, an escape room offers an experience that combines—and in some ways improves on—those activities.

An escape room is far more immersive than a board game, it is more interactive than a movie, and has the same need for teamwork and cooperation as a sporting activity. An escape room gives you a little of everything so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.

What Kinds Of Escape Room Puzzles Should You Expect?

There are a wide variety of puzzles that you can find in an escape room, each of which requires a wide array of skills. Here are just some of the types of puzzle that you might see in an escape room:

Hidden Objects: These are among the most common types of puzzle and they usually serve as the opening puzzle to an escape room. There a few reasons for this, chief of which is that they get the players acquainted with the room and the objects within it as they search for clues.

Words and Numbers: Sometimes, the players will come across a series of letters, words, or numbers that don’t seem to make any sense in their context. The players need to decipher them to figure out what they mean so that they can progress. These puzzles won’t require that anyone in the room has a degree in mathematics or be an English major to solve them. The puzzles could involve basic mathematics equations, sudoku puzzles, or crossword puzzles. They will give your brain a workout, but they won’t cause it to meltdown.

Physical Puzzles: These are puzzles that require the players to move or manipulate objects in a certain way and sometimes, in a certain order. Those objects can range from ones that are small enough to be handled by a single person, to larger ones that a few of the players need to team up to move. These kinds of puzzles are usually about uncovering or revealing other clues or puzzles.

Book An Escape Room For Your Family Reunion

An escape room is one of the best ways to bring the family together and keep them engaged in a fun way that gives everyone something to do. Even if your extended family is too large to fit into an escape room all at once, you can take turns and see which group solves the room the fastest. So, you don’t have to worry and scramble to find an activity that everyone can enjoy together; just take them to an escape room and prepare to create an experience that everyone will keep talking about until the next family reunion.

Juices are good for health when it is made without missing its nutrients. So, it is important to select one of the best juicers for juicing purpose. Fortunately, now you have cold-pressed juicer. This juicer has a unique way of extracting juice. Unlike other models, cold-pressed juicer produces less heat and extracts juice by first crushing the fruits and vegetables to keep more of the nutrients. There are a large number of myths associated with the concept of juicing but those are not true. Some of them have been mentioned as follows:

Myth – Juice has no fibre – Debunked: This states that there is no fibre content in the juices. Fibres are of 2 types- soluble and insoluble. Juicing helps to take out the most of it from the insoluble part whereas, the soluble part is not touched. The soluble part acts like a sponge and absorbs water in it and helps in avoiding bacterial growth.

Myth – A lot of sugar- Debunked: It all depends upon what we are juicing. The 80-20 rule must be followed from vegetables and fruits. Some sugary fruits offer huge benefits in their own form. The adults and the patients of diabetes must be aware of the contents they use in the whole process of juicing.

Myth – No concept of detox- Debunked: The human body does the function of detoxing automatically, but human behaviour disturbs this process. Numerous vegetables help in increasing the enzymes, which lead to detoxification. Eating and juicing such vegetables helps the people to live a healthy lifestyle.

Myth -There are no proven benefits- Debunked: Some people are of the belief that there are no proven benefits of the juicing. But, in reality, there are many health benefits associated with the juicing like beetroot juice helps in lowering blood pressure levels and even helps the patients to cure fast. There are many people who have changed their lives with the help of juices.

Myth -Does not contain enough protein- Debunked: People also believe that the juices do not contain the required amounts of protein. But all those who are more conscious can add various natural things like hemp seeds, etc. in order to make the thing protein rich. Even the juices cause no protein deficiency in adults who have a habit of drinking juice.

Myth -People believe that nutrients are in peel and not in juice- Debunked: Many people are of the viewpoint that all the nutrients are there in the peel and not in the juice. Nutrients like magnesium are lost during the process of juicing. But still the benefits associated with the juices win the race.

Myth -Eating fruits is better than juice- Debunked s: People also believe that eating fruits is better than consuming juices. The main factor is to consume the plants. But both of them have their own benefits and cannot be ignored.

Myth -Can cause loss of hair- Debunked: Consuming juices can even cause loss of hair. This may happen when people restrict so much to dieting and consume only juice that too for a long time and nothing else, then such cases may happen.

Thus, everyone likes juice and prefers the homemade ones. All juices have some or the other nutrients, which are very much essential for our body.
