KTM launched their much-awaited KTM 790 Duke in India on Monday. The bike also called “Scalpel” was displayed for the first time at 2018 EICMA in Milan. KTM has launched the superbike in ownership with Bajaj Finance in India.
The introductory price for the motorcycle is Rs 8.64 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The mid-weight motorcycle can be booked across nine cities — Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Surat, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati — starting from today.

Duke 790 is already being sold in the International market and has received raving reviews. The bike is powered with an all-new 799 cc, LC8c, parallel-twin, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 8-valve, DOHC engine that produces 105 hp and 87 Nm of torque. The mill is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike is also equipped with 43mm, non-adjustable USD fork and a pre-load mono-shock.
Some other features KTM 790 Duke offers are full-TFT display, high-quality gas assisted WP rear shock with progressive spring and preload adjustment. Braking systems featuring cornering ABS by Bosch with lean-angle sensitive motorcycle stability control. The bike offers four modes that are sport, street, rain and track.
The bike weighs at 169 KG which makes it lightest sports bike in its segment. The bike will be available across 30 cities in India by April 2020.
