Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

The short version: GuideLine uses your phone number as your account, keeps a history of your coaching calls so you can look back at them, and hands payment for booked sessions to PayU. Conversations with a coach are confidential.

Who this applies to

This Privacy Policy describes how the GuideLine iOS app ("GuideLine", "the app", "we", "us") handles information. It does not cover the App Store, which Apple operates under its own privacy policy, or PayU, which operates under theirs.

Information you give us

Your phone number. It is how you sign up and how a coach reaches you. We do not ask for your name, email address or date of birth to create an account.

Information created by using the app

Call records. When you take a coaching call we store a record of the session — when it happened and how long it lasted — so that your call history is available to you in the app and so that sessions can be billed correctly.

What you say to a coach is confidential. Coaching conversations are between you and the coach.

Payments

Booked sessions are paid for through PayU. Your card or bank details are entered with PayU and are processed by them under their own privacy policy — they are never stored by GuideLine.

Coaches

Coaches receive what they need to take your call and help you. They are bound to keep the content of your sessions confidential.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your coaching calls for advertising.

Children's privacy

GuideLine is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the information associated with your phone number, or ask us to delete your account and its call history, by emailing us at the address below.

Not medical care

GuideLine provides coaching and general guidance. It is not medical, psychological or crisis care, and no coach on GuideLine diagnoses or treats a medical condition. If you are in distress or need urgent help, please contact a qualified healthcare professional or your local emergency services.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date above.
