Early life and Family – Mithila Palkar was born on 12th January 1993 in Vasai, Maharashtra, India. She was born in a middle-class Marathi family. She belongs to a conservative family. Due to travelling inconvenience she moved to Dadar, Maharashtra to live with her maternal grandparents. Since her school days, she has been living with her grandparents. She has a sister PhD in Neuroscience and lives in Los Angeles.

Education – Mithila Palker did her schooling from IESs Modern English School, Mumbai. Mithila Palkar admits being nerd during school time but was also acting dancing singing and dramatics. She graduated from M.M.K College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. She pursued a bachelor of mass media. Mithila always wanted to become an entertainer and star. However, she had a deal with her grandfather that she first has to complete her graduation. After completing her graduation, she went to Los Angeles to do a crash course in acting from ‘Stella Adler Studio.

Career: In the year 2014, Mithila returned to India after completing the acting crash course from ‘Stella Adler studio’, Los Angeles and started giving auditions. She made her acting debut from a Marathi short film ‘Majha honeymoon’ that was showcased in the 16th Film festival, Mumbai. After this, in the year 2015 she made her appearance in Hindi film Katti Batti produced by Nikkhil Advani. In the movie, she played the role of Imran Khans sister. After the movie, she appeared in several ads for popular brands such as Maggi, Tata Tea and Zomato. In march 2016 her video of Cup Song Hi Chal Turu Turu which was inspired by Anna Kendrick Cup song from Pitch Perfect. The video earned over 4 million views on YouTube. The song went viral overnight and helped her to gain attention from the viewers all across the country. Soon after the Cup song popularity, she got a chance to sing the song ‘Maharashtra Desha’ that was released on the occasion of Maharashtra day (2016).

She gave her first audition to Quasar theatre production. She did not get the role but got a job backstage to manage the Theatre Festival Thespo. At Thespo she met Druv Sehgal, who suggested that she give audition for ‘News Darshan’ a Filtercopys satire show on the YouTube. The show helped her to gain a considerable reputation. In the year 2016, she also acted in her first web series Girl and the City’ for Bindass in which she played the role of a Non-Mumbai girl Meera Sehgal and gathered appreciation from her fans.

In 2017, Mithila made her first debut in Marathi cinema with the movie Muramba along with the actor Amey Wagh. The movie was a big hit. In 2018, she played the lead role in the movie Karwaan that starred Dulquer Salmaan and Irfan Khan. The same year she was listed on under 30 young achievers by Forbes India in February 2018.

Mithila is also well known for her role in the web series ‘Little Things’ in which she played the role of Kavya Kulkarni. The series achieved lots of popularity and was published as a book by Penguin Random House. After the web series’s success, Netflix purchased the franchise of ‘Little Things 2’ and released it on October 5th 2018. She has also appeared in another web series ‘Official Chukyagiri’ from  Arre. In the year 2019, she acted in Netflix original film chopsticks. In the year 2020, she appeared in the movie Tribhanga.

Affair and Marriage – Mithila Palkar is not married. There are rumours that she and Amey Wagh had dated in the past, but nothing was official.
