Twitter’s @Anywhere: A New Javascript Framework from Twitter

@anywhere is what it means literally. You can access Twitter from anywhere from the simple JavaScript, which will be available in a few days. Right now Twitter will combining its new power with sites like Amazon, AdAge, Bing, Citysearch, Digg, eBay, The Huffington Post, Meebo, MSNBC.com, The New York Times, Salesforce.com, Yahoo!, and YouTube.

What would be it like “Imagine being able to follow a New York Times journalist directly from her byline, tweet about a video without leaving YouTube, and discover new Twitter accounts while visiting the Yahoo! home page—and that’s just the beginning.from Twitter Blog.

One thing that needs to be watched here is that @anywhere is kinda similar to Facebook Connect, the service for letting users log into Web sites using their Facebook credentials. @anywhere comprises a set of frameworks for adding the Twitter experience — by sending tweets, retweets and following users — to any Website without going into to Twitter.com.

This idea of allowing people to access user tweets, Retweets and followers with more relevant, quick-time information from the Twitter Website will be a bit different than I’ve seen done with Facebook Connect, and it promises to open up the Twitter experience to people who as of yet may not have seen or heard what twitter is. One thing is sure Twitter is going be more popular and more stronger in social networking after this.

And another great thing is all the things doesn’t require API’s integration anymore. Only JavaScript can make your website gain the power of new Twitter initiative.
