Thanks for the nice list, currently i am happy with my AVG Free. It automatically scans external media/drives upon connection. So by this way i am avoiding 95% problems. And yes never one should use Pen Drives before scanning it with Antivirus.

I think the best protection against infected is to disable autorun and to use antivirus software like Kaspersky.
But for me flash drive becomes less and less important as I am using dropbox and windows homegroups to transfer files. I think that cloud storage and wireless file transfers will reduce flash market radically over the time

Thanks for sharing. I use a USB stick everyday and I’ve worked out on average I put it into three different computers a day, my own laptop and two university computers, which are different each time as I cannot guarantee it will be the same one. I’ll have a look at the things you’ve reccomended here and see which ones suits me best!
