Let me start with a flashback of my life. Back in my impressionable youth, I watched a lot of TV. I used to fake illness and spend the day at home watching T.V. That’s where I developed my passion for advertising and still carried a lot of old jingles in my mind. I did all my homework in front of my television (maths was particularly easy to do with tube on).
My sweet and sour memories of Republic Day
Our Republic turned 60 today, and like every 60 year old has had more than its share of acme and troughs.
Republic day is just another holiday for most of us; with some flag-hoisting functions in school and in our neighborhood. Well, some of us bunk schools as I had done it too in my school days, anyways there was no teacher for taking attendance. For some others, it was stimulating to watch every state try to exceed others with floats full of color which made their way down to Rajpath. Even don’t forget the touchy moment when children who won Bravery awards astride their elephants and also lot of awards announced for military and civilians.
