The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, are presented annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors, and writers. The formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is one of the most prominent award ceremonies in the world.

The most awaited Academy Awards or Oscar for 2010 just completely announced the last and final award – the Best Motion Picture of the year 2010 that was awarded to “The Hurt Locker” directed by Kathryn Bigelow who also won Best Director for the year. It was held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, hosted by the actors Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.
