So How Technorati rates your blog
Its pretty simple, the number of unique blogs linking to your blog in the last 6 months will be added up and it will decide who is number one. After adding your blog in technorati you will be pinging technorati and they will get all the data about your article postings.
Whenever a blog links at you, they will increase your authority which means your ranking is been improved in blogosphere. Apart from being featured in top 100 blogs you will be getting massive subscribers and unique traffic as technorati is been accepted globally in blog ranking.
For all this to happen you will require to claim your blog or add your blog in technorati with proper tags and keywords that you are targetting.
How to add the blog
Again its pretty easy and you will need to just follow few steps before making your blog claim.
- Sign In ( If you don’t have a technorati account Join it Its free. )
- Go to your account
- Look in image below, you will find this on your account page .. with a box which will be a URL field for claiming your blog
- After adding your blog and the required title and tags you will get a message on your email account with a claim token which would be a random generated text.

Been having a problem Adding mine! i put the code in and my blog link and also my feed link but I keep getting…….Jan 16, 2010. We could not find the claim token in any posts in your feed. Please make sure that you have entered it correctly in a post body and that the token appears in the feed whose URL you have given us……been using my feedburner feed link on it as well!
Not to sure what to do now!

Thanks for the tut. This is a great way for technorati to get countless tutorials on adding blogs, since you have to add the verification code to a post. Seems to be the only logical way to do it..

Technorati says their bot cannot access my blog because they are blocked by my robots.txt file and I’m to amend this. They provide this link for help, but I do not understand what I’m supposed to do! http://technorati.com/robots-faq/

After a couple hours of research and messing around I was able to successfully submit my blog claim. However, that was 3 weeks ago. Am I losing my mind or is their blog review system normally this slow? you’d think that since their website revolves around us bloggers that we would get priority treatment. I tried this like 4 times. Even made a blog post that was title and body just the claim tag and technorati wont accept it. Is it a problem with wordpress? Why don’t they use a meta tag like everything else.

Technorati claimed my site but it has been 2 week and it still has not appeared in their search results. I still have a message saying it will appear there in 24 to 48 hours.

Nice article. My site got added onto technorati after 2-3 attempts. Site Claiming is another task to be cleared which most of them do not succeed in 1 go.
