Google Buzz Extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox Browser

Google Buzz started few days ago and already created a lot of buzz by every tech blog and website in existence. This is due to the reason because of the great feedback from all of the technology sites and don’t forget the fact it is a part of Google’s email service Gmail.

So it did not take time for developers to build extensions for Google Buzz to make the Buzz experience more comfortable and easy for the users.

I am sure if you are one of those users who prefer to check updates through notification extensions rather than opening the social websites again and again, so here are few Google Buzz extensions for Google Chrome and Firefox Browser for you.

Google Buzz Extension for Google Chrome Browser

Chrome Buzz : is an extension for Google Chrome which makes it easy to check the updates right in the web browser without having to open the Google Buzz page in the web browser first. The developer of this extension is also working on number of new buzzes displayed, ability to post comments and “like it” function from the extension.

Google Buzz Pad : This is another extension for Google Chrome which helps to see the latest updates and comments on any particular post.  When you will click on the the contact’s name, it will redirect you to Google profile of that person. The limitation is that you can see the comment on any buzz but not able to post the comments from the extension.

You can also share the webpage link in your Google Buzz page through your Google Reader account.

Google Buzz Checker : This extension helps to check the unread count for Google Buzz messages and when you click the icon it will redirect you to the Google Buzz page.

Google Buzz Extension for Firefox Browser

Buzz it : This will help you to update your Google Buzz status via Gmail with the link and the title of the webpage you are viewing. After installation, go to VIEW>TOOLBARS>CUSTOMIZE and drag the “Buzz It!” button to your main toolbar. It will also shorten URLs with Bit.ly, allowing the user to monitor their link statistics. Your status update from the extension will look like the below image.

Hope you find the above extensions useful to make your Google Buzz experience more comfortable and handy. If you know any other extension other than above, do share with us in the comments.

I found Google Buzz to be a good opportunity to understand why Twitter is so popular without actually registering in it. For me who, has many contacts in gmail-contacts-list, that turned to be out pretty funny stuff.
Thanks for the extensions (never thought it may be developed so fast, but this is Google)

Personally, I find Buzz less effective than Twitter or reddit. Maybe it’s the lower user base.

Thanks for the list. It’s so sad that Google Buzz is dying because less people pay attention to it. I think Google has planned to close it down this year, though.
