Flavors.me : Create Your Free Personal Website Without Knowing HTML/CSS

After having an account on every social network in the world, sharing thousands of cool information and photos with hundreds of friends and strangers, I am sure you sometimes think that your online presence need to be group together at one place. In simple words, you need a personal website to show the world who you are and what you do. But you drop your idea because most of you including me don’t know about HTML/CSS coding and also there is lot of money involved if you choose to design your own website from a professional.

So let’s come straight to the point without wasting any time. In this post, I am sharing with you a service from Flavors.me where you can create your own free, beautiful, elegant webpage without knowing a bit of HTML or CSS code to layout your page. There are lot of pre-defined themes to customize every bit of background, fonts, colors, layouts and services which you want to display in your site.

The service was clearly built focused with simplicity and design in mind. Setting up an account takes minutes since all you provide is your name, e-mail and password.

After completing a basic sign-up form,  you can pull out your social feeds from various websites and social networks like Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, WordPress and much more. Flavors.me taps into these services via their APIs, so you don’t have to use your password and within seconds it works like a charm. All of your linked content is pulled into your Flavors.me, very easy to access in a non-cluttered way.

After you have added your services, you can now customize your webpage design. Flavors.me gives you a very simple yet elegant design panel that allows you to choose the layout themes, background, color scheme and fonts. You can also upload a background image to use or even if you make it a simple one-color page. Play with all the tools and see what looks the best.

After playing around with every possible tool, I created a beautiful and elegant personal webpage. But if you don’t find my webpage impressive, do a quick search on Twitter to checkout other lists of Flavors.me pages and I can assure you each of the webpage you found will be unique.

Verdict

After playing around with Flavors.me, I am not hesitate to say that it’s quite an impressive service and shows a loads of promise.  I really like the user interface, design panel and pre-loaded themes and color pallattes. I think this is the best service to make an awesome microsite for specially those who don’t have their own domains.

So go ahead, it will take your 10 minutes to make your online presence beautiful.

If you create your own Homepage via Flavors.me, please come back and share it with us.

    • 1) They provide an option to shift to custom domain, ya thats one backdrop I agree

      2) I think this is basically for creating personal page so there is no option to connect Facebook Fan page. But have you tried it through RSS feeds options they provide. Let me test this option and will give you the feedback :)

      Thanks for commenting Priyanka :)

  18. Hi. I treasured to drop you a quick note to impart my thanks. I’ve been observing your blog for a month or so and have picked up a heap of good information as well as enjoyed the way you’ve structured your site. I am attempting to run my own blog however I think its too general and I would like to focus more on smaller topics.

    • Thanks for dropping by a wonderful comment, really a kind of motivation which we bloggers require from time to time :)

Well. I think you have to first find your niche and then start blogging. Or you can start a general blog, after some time check which topic is best for you. All the best to you. My best wishes are with you mate :)

  32. Rackspace says:

I have actually thought of setting up my own web site, though as you point out the money and the maintenance has stopped me from doing this. Some of the social networking sites are now become quite sophisticated as is the more common blog sites. Though, this aside, to have your own personal web page would be just awesome. Might have to just bite the bullet and do it.

I have a question… if I pay the $20/year will they give me a custom domain? Or do I have to buy the custom domain in addition to the $20 for the paid account? Cause if so, that’s dumb…
