Apple has finally released its next generation of the iPhone at its annual event in San Francisco. They released the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7s.

At its launch event, the company revealed its upgraded iPhone which is quite similar to iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, with some major differences which include a pressure-sensitive home button, a newer and a better camera with a faster processor and an improved battery life along with no space for the headphone jack. It will come in a new range of colours which will start from 32 GB size.

The New Features

Among its significant changes on this new phone consists of an upgraded better camera, a new home button along with the ruthless removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack.

apple-iphone-7In place of traditional and typical headphone connection, this iPhone will come with earphones that also fits into the iPhone’s Lightning port which is currently used for purposes like charging and data transfer.

The iPhone 7s has even more sophisticated and powerful “dual lens” camera.

Demise of headphone jack

Considered to be the most controversial decision, is the removal of the headphone jack, in place of which the phone will come with Lightning EarPods – which gets connected through the charging point and wireless Apple Airpods powered by a W1 chip.

Its infrared sensors can detect when each pod is in your ear with motion sensors which control the headphones to utilize Siri and also detect your voice.

The AirPods offers five hours of listening time, which along with the compact charging case provides 24 hours of battery life.

Still, Apple will also supply an adaptor which will enable the traditional headphones to keep continuing to plug into the iPhone. But in this case, it won’t allow for charging at the same moment.

These pods can easily get connected with Apple watches, MackBook laptops, and iPads.

Beats have also presented two versions of wireless headphones for these iPhone 7 models.

This phone will also arrive with the first-time appearance of stereo speakers which are placed both at top and bottom of the device.

Upgraded camera

iPhone 7 camera has been completely enhanced to provide low-light capabilities which also provide sharper photos.

It has a f/1.8 lens that provides 50% extra light on the lens with a new 12MP sensor that is

60 % faster and around 30% energy efficient.

Appearance

Apple has introduced a couple of new colours for this iPhone. These new models will be available in five separate colours which will also include two black shades.

A matte black along with glossy black will also join the rose gold, gold, and silver in the colour option for these iPhones. The new brilliantly shiny “jet black” will be offered for 128 GB and 256 GB models. This new iPhone will still look quite similar to the current range of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. But in the newer handset, the antenna bands are now removed from the device back to the edges.

With this, we end our take on this new iPhone released a couple of days ago. We would really like to know your views and suggestions along with your reviews on this phone. Don’t forget to mention them in the comment section below.
